So I bought the book for my Elven Warrior Archer to give her the Ranger specialisation from the Dwarf in my camp, but it never appeared in the inventory to use.

Is there anyone else in the game that can teach my Elf the ranger skill?   Or is there anywhere else I can get the book from?

It's a rogue specialization, not a warrior.

It already unlocks the specialization when you level up.

Specializations never appear in your inventory, despite appearing as a book. Once you close the merchant interface, you should be notified that's it's unlocked, but that's all.



And as Raltar said, Ranger is only available to rogues, not warriors. Go to either rogue party member's character menues and you'll see it as now being available.
