Saw this referenced over on the Citadel, and was thinking of using this as a learning tool.
But I don't know what it'd run in, if not the NWN1 toolset. Is there a way to make use of it (even if some of the scripting commands, etc, have changed) w/o owning NWN1, or is there some equivalent?

Yes. I use it all the time. It doesn't handle NWN2 specific scripts obviously.

Okay, cool, gratias, I'll try it out. My concentration in CompSci and experience with ADA just isn't cutting it with free-writing pseudo-C just yet.

Occasionally it will try to use a #include file that does not exist in NWN2 (this is rare). I'd say that 95%+ of the time you will be fine.

That tool is very cool for poeple who have no knowledge in scripting. It can allow everyone to do basic stuff.
But if you want to do really cool thing and take full advantage of the possibility of NWN2 you need to learn to script by yourself. Depending on how much you want to do use it or don't.
Don't use it and learn to script if you want to do very cool thing so you won't becomme "prisonner" of it. NWN2 extended the possible from NWN1.
And if you don't learn to script by yourself you'll miss that power. But that require a lot of learning.
That tool is a wonder for a first step in the realm of scripting. But if it becommes your only way of scripting you'll becomme prisoner of it and you will have only basic stuff.
