How can you guys stomach so much repetition? My first me2 experience was awesome but the next 2 were just boring because I knew almost everything that was going to happen.

ME1: On 2nd (and possibly final) playthrough

ME2: 2 completed, will import current ME1 playthrough for my 3rd (and will use that one in ME3)

I consider myself a big fan of the series but I feel too much repetition diminishes the excitement of playing.

0.. Only got the game like 2 or 3 weeks ago. Still playing it. I'm assuming that I should be done with it once I reach the 35~40 hour mark. I also don't see myself replaying the game anytime soon because I wanna keep my Shepard how he is. But I most definitely will replay all the games once I feel like doing that.. (which obviously won't be anytime soon)

I'm currently on my Fifth.

Playing a Xenophobic, sweet talking, quick to anger, impulsive Engineer/Demolisher.

I chose not to open Grunt's tank and never take anyone but Humans on a mission, except for the loyalty missions. I had thought about only doing the human loyalty missions, but I guess Mike Shepard does see the use in having everyone focussed on the mission, because he wants to get the job done.

He's quite different from the previous playthroughs, but a lot of fun.

Mass Effect 1, 2 playthroughs.

Mass Effect 2, on my forth.

ME2 is much more replayable, imo. It's just built for a swifter play, and the story isn't as encompassing.

ME1 was like a film, a real immersive story. ME2 is definitely a stopgap, not that it's lesser in quality in a general sense, but it's just what's needed for the transition.

Also, the gameplay in ME2 is just leaps and bounds ahead.

2 soldiers - finished
2 infiltrators -1 finished, 1 about to do final mission
1 vanguard - about to do final mission
1 sentinel - 40% through
1 adept - just started (started a couple of other adepts but I didn't like them)

Soldiers are probably the easiest all round so far... wish I had te mattock from the start.

On the other hand I'm really tired of coop/multi... :D

heheh I haven't played multi in a LONG while so :P every since.... MW2 came out and that was a let down :P.

This also reminds me that every studio EA buys it launch a sequence of a worthy predecessor and then EA sink the mentioned studio in the gutter.
Oh well, I hope that's not the case, fingers crossed! :o

that I did not know...... ouch lol. Either way I dont care. ME1 was made by BIoware and Micrsofot Studios... so Bioware and EA is like a cousin. IF BIoware gets shredded by EA I wont share a tear....they didn't leaea  long lasting footprint on me.

Well.... not yet, they might pulll a 180 and leave me breathless with ME3.... which would be awesome. But hoping it will rain in the desert twice in a day is not good, you'll be dissapointed lol

Mass Effect 1:

2 full playthroughs with soldier class

1 full infiltrator

1 full adept

1 unfinished vanguard

Mass Effect 2:

3 full soldier

2 full infiltrator

1 full adept

1 unfinished soldier (waiting for the "Lair of the Shadow Broker" DLC to finish it)

1 Vanguard (currently playing, about 20% completed)

It's true that ME1 story was a lot better... but it is also true that the replay value in ME2 is superior. Specially because the sequel is more fun to play, has a better combat system, a lot of interesting dialogs and plenty more content. Also, the inventory system in ME1 was annoying.

The only thing I hate about replaying ME2 is mining again and again to get all the upgrades.

ME2 14 or 15 at least. You guys are small time. My social life died when I picked up ME2.

Just now finished my second and preferred run through. Incidentally, is it known what we will need to ensure our save carries over to ME3? There's no discernible endgame save, at least not on the 360.
