Can the Lorik Qui'in glitch really cause save corruption when importing a save to Mass Effect 2?

it just screws with paragon shepard being imported

Noveria's corruption is so strong it can even corrupt your savegame when you try to corrupt other things such as the morale system. Noveria's corruption is anti-corruption in some way, so don't corrupt where corruption rules or you will be corrupted for corruption.
