Morrowind, just love the atmosphere and music... Whenever I hear the main theme, just drags me back to Vvardenfell! Jeremy Soule is THE man. :)

Plus there's something about the architecture in Morrowind that appeals to me, something different. Not like the middle-ages actually did look. I mean, all the castles, armors etc. both in Oblivion and to a certain degree in DA:O looks like they did the actual middle-ages, which I don't find that interesting. :(

KOTOR 1 and 2 - Whats strange is that I like 2 more 1 now, I think 2 has better replay).

Vampire Bloodlines - So far the most enjoyable replay for me because the classes (races) play so differently from one another.

The Witcher - This game got me by surprise when I first played it, it was so much better than I thought it was going to be.

Wait for it.....Oblivion - I hated this game for years, and then one day it got really fun. I've put in so many hours of solid play since that day. You can flame if you want but in the end there will always be nights when I feel like sneaking around firing poison tipped arrows at peoples heads. The strange thing with Oblivion for me was that I did not really get into it until I took away all my mods and played it vanilla.

yes FFVII is the best all time RPG. and most of the series has to be near the top. Do not know this game will be as good for me But no other game got me so tied up into it since FFVII.

Neverwinter Nights 2,

Dragon Age is supieror in Combat and Ease of playing the game but NWN2 feels more at home to me, a love the characters or at least a particular character (Khelgar) and I guess I have played the game through so many times that I have grown greatly attached to it. Dragon Age is still amazing though it just doesn't have the same appeal and humor NWN2 had on me.

I got into RPG's a little late, so sad to say, Fable was my 1st RPG I actually played, but I got a disc with the game and it had a trailer to Jade Empire on it. Preordered it after following the game for a while, and when I got the game it was perfect IMO. So...Jade Empire! but Dragon Age is right beside it (I just started though)

Hands down the best created RPG of all time has to go to BG2 with throne of Baahl!!! Morrowind was absolutely horrible!  I could nt even get through 2 days of playing it.....( my opinion)
Now having said that dont you morrowind fans get your pantyloons in a bunch! I think if you played morrowind first you might be more partial to it because you played it first......I have played almost all of em except planescape torment ( which if i could ever get a copy i would play it) but if you compare story, characters, options, gameplay and hours of play BG2 is hands down the most complete package.....I would even buy a re-launched version with new toolset and maybe a few changes to keep ya guessing.....I mean they remake movies all the time and we watch em..... why not an RPG ? Although alot of relaunched movies suck and never live up to the original ...but it could be done. Planescape could be a good candidite as it was an early release in bioware's career..........remake it and put it out in a new form.
I must say though D.A.O. could live up to taking over top spot from BG2 especially since there is going to be lots more to come.........like BG1 and 2 throne of Bahl topped it off and left me wanting more... hopefully D.A.O will deliver the same results as we get more stories and modules.......

Probably Vampire the Masquerade.. Or Baldur's Gate 2.. This would be my favorite if it were not for the bland item system (not as bad as Mass Effects mind you but its pretty poor IMO, with over population of swords.. A distinct lack of armor choices especially as a rogue type.. Rogues really feel shafted simply because they look no where near as cool as some of the heavy warrior armors.

I'm going to throw my hat in for Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3.

The combat was fun, fusion system lead to some excellent strategic battles, the story was compelling to say the least and the characters all very interesting. It had many issues with it, but the absolutely amazing ending more than made up for all of them. Never has a game so affected me emotionally as Persona 3 did, but Dragon Age comes close. It sort of made me want to stand up and be a better person (which I feel that it did, honestly).

Morrowind so far. DA:O my surpass it. I'm only lvl 7 though so too soon to tell.

Mod community could make or break it as the best ever imo.

(Oblivion was a huge letdown)

I'm apparently a heretic. I tolerated BG1, but never finished BG2, IWD, PS:T. Something about them just didn't seem fun to me. I loved NWN 1 & 2, KOTOR, Mass Effect though.   DA:O has promise, but being always massively outnumbered in combats is getting tedious.

Hands-down my all-time favorite RPG (in terms of how much fun I had playing them) is System Shock 2.  Second is Dungeon Master.  Ultima Underworld is probably 3rd, then maybe fallout 1.

Daggerfall was great.  Morrowind was half awesome and half suckassy.  The awesome was awesome enough to overcome the suckass level scaling.  Unfortunately, Oblivion didn't have enough awesome to make tolerating the scaling worthwhile.  I loved the Phantasie series, wizardry series, might & magic.  Hated Gothic 1,2,3 -- and then stupidly bought Risen thinking it would be different :-/

Neverwinter Nights 1, followed by BG1 + 2, Morrowind, and Neverwinter Nights 2. Now DA:O is up there with NWN1 :)

A tie between BG2 and Xenogears. Those two are, by far, the best I've ever played.

Gonna have to agree with Xenogears! Really deep storyline and those anime style cutscenes were really great on that old PS1!

I have to go with BG1/BG2/ToB.

But that's not all to get the full BG expirience you need to have the Big Picture mod added to it and all the extra mods done up by Spellhold Studios. I have over 500 hrs into that game, all the mod content adds more than 200+ hours. Granted not all of it is any good, but the Big Picture joins 1 and 2 seemlessly and adds a side section where the Shadow Thieves kidnap you for Irenicus and explains why you don't have any of your Good loot at the begining of two. You also keep all your levels, and companions (even the evil ones) with all their levels (save the two that die in the story).. So you can actually start BG2 with Edwin and Vericona without having to find them later. They also added an extremely difficult AI system to the enemies that caused them to use tactics more carefully. Enemies never chased after you, you couldn't draw them out without bringing them all with you, they used spells more effectively including cures and buffs on other in their own party. AND they even blocked doorways and pounded you with mages like most people did to them throughout the entire regular campaign. The Big picture mod for BG1 and 2 is seriously about as good as it gets as far as I'm concerned.

I laugh seriously hard at everyone complainng about how hard DA:O is after playing that mod. In fact, I'm already past Redcliffe and haven't died once on normal (The only AOE spell I have on my mage is shock and walking bomb so I'm not a mage spammer). I'm about to kick it up to hard if the game doesn't get a little more challenging for me.

Seriously though, if you're a huge BG fan and know how to program or follow programing instructions just a little you owe it to yourself to try out the Big Picture mod.

Best RPG game? There's quiet a lot in my mind. I think Fallout 2 is my all time favourite RPG game then Dragon Age: Origins.

MMORPG, Dungeons and Dragons Online: Stormreach

Single player RPG, Planescape: Torment (F'KING GENIUS!), or FFII.

Currently, DA:O. But I gotta be honest its short. If they dont amp up the rate of DLC bigtime this thing is going to Gamestop or getting re-gifted this X-Mas.
