I stick to my own gender so I guess I'm bias when i say i prefer Maleshep. I tried listening to femshep but it just sounded like Hale (A amazing voice actor btw) was trying to hard to sound like military badass and I didn't really like that

Yup. I like playing as a femshep, I just feel Hale needs to try being a little more natural with her voice and stop *trying* to sound badass.

renegade femshep is just a good laugh.
Just like when you watch zombie movie parody. Except that she actually believes that she is badass.
So it's more a good laugh just like when you watch an incredibly lame and low budget movie.

I never play renegade so I can't say for the rengade voice acting.
Playing ME1 Maleshep was horribly dull due to Mark Meer's monotonus voice. However, I am more than pleased to find that in ME2 he has improved IMMENSELY: there are still a few segments where he sounds bad but there are several segments that he really delivers, including a couple that IMAO he actually outdid Jennifer Hale!
Jennifer Hale in ME1 sounded great in comparison. In ME2, she still sounds good, but I have to admit there are moments when I am let down. On the while, I still think Jennifer Hale has done a superior job in ME2, but Mark Meer has improved by leaps and bounds so it's no longer a walkover.

In Mass Effect 1, the female voice was horrible. It was like it has no emotion and it is always whispering, but it had a great improvement in ME2, but I still think that the male voice is far better in both games.
