This is the description of the River Dane armor: "The sight of Loghain wearing this armor became synonymous with Ferelden’s defiance of Imperial rule."
I'd say the armor is famous. Afterall, I think people identified Calenhad by his armor too, more so than his looks.

But yea Loghain is intimidating. Before, I never though blue eyes could be intimidating unless they're unnatural (well as a kid I used to be intimidated by my dad's blue eyes, before I grew up). Loghain proved me wrong.

Warcry? Loggy could just raise an eyebrow at them and they'd all crap their pants in fear.
Fear me, fear my eyebrow.

In TST David Gaider often referred to "those icy blue eyes".

Indeed. No one in the book could make eye contact with him for long.
Speaking of which

Yea the way I imagine it, Loghain was surrounded by a few bandits, but he wasn't afraid, one war cry will knock them all down. Suddenly this young girl came charging to "rescue" the stranger and after that, Loghain made her knight for her courage and skill.

Even though his armor looks like any other heavy plate armor set lol
IRT Loghain and Cauthrien, does anyone think that if Loghain had a son he'd have his son married to Cauthrien? I did get a bit of that "adopted child" vibe between those two, perhaps moreso than Loghain-Cailan.
I kinda hope that since she's still alive in my game, she ends up as Teyrna of Gwaren (as I didn't ask for it), since if it's anyone who should get Loghain's lands and titles (I like to think that Loghain keeps his riches and possessions and whatnot since he's still living and breathing) it's her.

Many people think she has a thing for him. I'm unsure about that myself but I don't see him marrying his son to her. She's technically a commoner, after all, and if he had a son the son would grow up to be Teyrn. They can't just marry any random knight off the street.IRT Loghain and Cauthrien, does anyone think that if Loghain had a son he'd have his son married to Cauthrien? But then wouldn't she get a promotion by marriage then?

You mean 'wouldn't she be a teyrna then'? That's like saying 'Oh, Slim Couldry married Anora so he's not a commoner anymore, he's a prince-consort and therefore has the status to marry her.' Her status once she marries him cannot be used to mean that she has the status to marry him. She's a knight and not even from a noble family so as far as the social order goes that's really not good enough to have an arranged marriage with a teyrn.MKDAWUSS wrote...

Hey I had the same idea!
I mean, I don't know if the teyrnirs are passed by bloodline, but she seems like a great candidate, since Loghain doesn't have an heir for Gwaren. She's no less noble than Loghain himself was when Maric gave the teyrnir to Loghain, after all.

If the son fell in love with her or wanted to, sure, but I can't see it being an arranged marriage since she doesn't have anything to really bring to the table. I don't know if Loghain loved Celia but no one forced him to marry her. All I'm saying is I don't think Loghain would arrange for a hypothetical son to marry Cauthrien. He suffered quite a bit due to arranged marriages and he'd be willing to do it for the good of Ferelden like with Anora but why would he force his son to marry someone that it would not benefit Ferelden at all for him to marry when he could find someone that he loved or that he would help the nation by marrying?KnightofPhoenix wrote...
@ Sarah. Loghain's wife is a commoner and not noble. Not even a knight. And she became Teyrna. I don't see much problem for Loghain's son to marry a knight and become Teyrn. Other nobles might find this bad, but I don't think Loghain would mind.

How do you get into the Landsmeet without killing her? I vaguely remember a persuade/intimidate check (although that may be at Howe's) but I've never passed it . . .

You have to pass the persuade check pre-Landsmeet although if you're playing on the PC then it checks poison so you'd need to fix that. Or have a really high poison. It's very touching.TJPags wrote...

Surrender to her when you confront her at Howe's estate and then persuade her before entering the Landsmeet.
I think. Haven't done it in a while.

Intimidate, then straight down the list starting with option 2. Works for me every time.

To the best of my knowledge, you can't pass the persuade check without surrendering when you rescue Anora, no matter what your Coercion is.MariSkep wrote...

Aroo? *is very confused* Why on earth does the PC version check your Poison level? That's an incredibly odd glitch.Sarah1281 wrote...
