I saw the fem Loghain too.

I initially wanted my Aurora Cousland to become Queen, but that was too much sugar for me, and wouldn't make sense for her character anyways. There was no way Aurora would kill a father in front of his daughter, not when she experienced the same.

And is it weird if I say that I used to play dolls and tea party and all that crap with my little sister? She has those eyes that you can't say no to.

My sister was the same.

Han Solo married barbie in one of her games.
Sometimes I do miss hanging out with her.

That's quite sweet, KoP. Being a good brother doesn't make you a wuss.

You know, I never had tea parties. And my dolls were always used in plots to take over the world. My father was pretty determined not to raise a girly-girl and I guess it worked. Posted Image

Not in the slightest. There's absolutely nothing weird about playing and having a good time with your little sister.

Nah, that's awesome. Though my Barbie used to marry G.I. Joe, because Ken was a bit of a ponce.

The dolls I was given (by the woefully ignorant/eternally hopeful) were... uh, stripped naked and fed to my impressive collection of Jurassic Park dinosaur figurines. Posted Image What? Boys always had the better toys, IMO.

Hmmm, you know, it's rather a wonder my parents didn't worry about me. lol But it was rather funny - my father had always wanted a son and I was their only child... but he kinda got a son anyway, since he and I were always going out fishing or going to college football games together. Posted Image

And KoP, I agree with the others. That's very sweet and cool of you as a big brother. No shame in that.

Speaking of interesting Loghain morphs, found this one at DeviantArt where Loghain is a... wolf/fox/jackel-type critter.

Oh I had plastic dinosaurs (this was pre-Jurassic Park, of course, but all kids like dinosaurs so you could always get dinosaur toys). I also asked my mum to make me a cuddly stegosaurus, which she duly did. She was rather awesome like that.

What I really liked, though, were my knights (small plastic models, mounted and on foot). Mum made me a castle as well. I had some rubber monsters as well so sometimes the knights fought the monsters. I guess it's no real surprise I ended up liking games like Dragon Age.

Funnily enough, Dragon, I'm an only child as well. I wonder if girls who are tend to take the a more gender neutral role due to the lack of a brother?

I didn't like dinosaurs. Well I like reading about them, but not so much toys. My favorite pass time was lego. One day, I'd make a nice home with a family, living peacefully and happily. and sometimes I made castles with knights and all that. Aah good old days.

Also, I used to help my dad make those plastic military jet models, that you had to glue. Of course he did 99% of the work, but it was fun.

I'm an only child and your theory applies to me as well. Though I could never see myself as a "girly girl", regardless of siblings.

It could be, but two older brothers can turn one into a tomboy. Most of my toys consisted of hand-me-down Star Wars action figures. Including an old Death Star model, and a few TIE fighters and X-Wings. I had epic battles with Luke and Vader, and Han and Leia just kissed most of the time. My brother was very annoyed with me for making them do that. The figures were so worn that we had to tape Han's blaster to his hand, and I think Luke's lightsaber was just lost.

My dad has those too. I'd just watch him and hand him pieces though. Much like working on the cars, the only "helping" I got to do was holding a flashlight.

I am jealous of your Star Wars toys, Monica. Being old and crumbly I went to see it at the Cinema when it was released (I was 9 - I drank too much Kia Ora, got motion sickness during the Death Star bombing sequence and vomited on the bus going home). I really wanted the action figures but I never got any. Which is a real shame as the original ones would be worth a fair bit now.

I had kits, too, but of dinosaurs, funnily enough. I know the ones you mean, though - Airfix models.

I think I'm the only person in the universe who doesn't care for Star Wars. Dinosaurs on the other hand, RAWR!

Well, I have three younger brothers and the oldest of them is about 21 months younger than me.

I am an only child as well. Because once perfection was made, my parents could not bear to ruin it by vastly inferior siblings.:P

I attribute my gender neutrality/slight leans towaards masculinity a combo of alot of factors. If I had brothers, I would have beat the crap out of them anyway and stole their transformers figures.

I enjoyed Star Wars, but I didn't want any of the toys (I also tended to prefer Star Trek, but that's probably because my father loved it and he and I tended to watch/talk about it a lot). Dinosaurs and dragons were my favorites. Stuffed animals were probably about as girly as I got... but then again, the stuffed animals were ALSO largely dinosaurs and dragons, not pink unicorns and such. lol

I'm poking around the Interwebz because CalJones brought up an interesting theory. From the few studies I've read so far, there seems to be no real determining factor in which girls become a tomboy - whether she's an only child or has siblings - but really just random chance (seems a lot of girls grow out of it, too, oddly enough... I never did and prefer it that way, honestly; being a tomboy, after all, doesn't mean I'm incapable of putting on makeup and being a woman when I feel like it/at the workplace). I'm also finding some rather offensive "self-help' stories about how to raise a child OUT of being  tomboy, like it's some unfortunate temporary illness. Kind of feeling myself wanting to punch my monitor.

The action figures were awesome. My older brother even had one of those case holders that looked like a Vader mask. He has them all now, but I think they're too worn, because they were actually played with, to be worth much. We had two of the 12" dolls that got sold at a garage sale. I remember seeing Chewbacca in the case at a comic book store for $200. I almost cried.

My fifteen-year-old brother doesn't like it either. He insists that it's overrated (which I think it is as well even though I like the movies) and actually prefers the prequels although he doesn't really like those either. My dad actually threatened to disown him for that one. Posted Image

My dad has seen each film in the theaters, has six original posters on a wall for each movie, and if I ever said that the prequels were better he would throw me out.
He wont watch Episode 1 though after the first time he saw it.

Star Wars is too black and white for me to like, and if I seriously had a choice to make I would side with Palpatine.

Really? To me he's always come across as really...unbalanced. I think that the Empire would be better off if they got rid of him and then got someone saner to lead them.

I dont really have much problem with the empire.
Outside of the repeated Genocides (Alderaan)
The Slavery (wookies)
The total dictatorship.
Palpantine being an evil sith who started a massive war twice for power. Prequels and when he was cloned.

Besides that, no I dont have issues with them.
