Cailan's revealed plans, I think, killed whatever doubts Loghain may have had. I am sure he is not happy or pleased with his death, but I can't see him being that sad after RtO. And yes you're right, RtO can't be used.

I can see that it would have killed Loghain's doubts, but I think he would still feel like he didn't do enough to either keep Cailan from becoming an idiot or doing enough to save him. It's more pain for what Maric lost than for what Cailan deserved, if that makes sense. And I suppose, since RtO will have to be modded, that a player just wouldn't download the mod if they knew it was turned into Loghain's personal quest. Or be wise enough to wait until Loghain was in your party.

About Maric's sword as gift. That means one cannot use it before they spare Loghain. And can never use it if they kill him. Could be problematic.

Easy answer is not to download the mod unless you want it to be a gift, but yes, that is a problem.

And yes Castle Cousland was my inspiration.

What would Loghain gain from it though? I see retaking Highever as a personal quest for the Cousland, not necessarily anything that helps Loghain.

Maybe Thomas Howe wantsw to continue the civil war and avenge his father's death. So Loghain has a chance to end the civil war he was partially responsable for.

I don't know, just throwing out ideas.

Oh, I thought you were saying he'd already be dead by the time you got there. Sorry. That could work. I wonder if there's dialogue for it though.

Maybe phaonica can use her feminine wiles and get ST to come back and voice some dialogue. :D

Been away from the computer all day. About to leave again. Stupid real life. All these fixes and whatever that have been mentioned I've been slowly working into my mod. I know it's slow. I'm really sorry it's taking so long. Posted Image

I bet there is some kind of legal reason why a modder couldn't hire the actual voice actors to work on mods. Otherwise it might be interesting to have the community donate to such an effort. Posted Image

Id pay a thousand Dollars just to hear Loghain say:

Alistair never loved you!

With Gaider's facial expression to boot.

Gaider's expression can only work with a goatee.

In fact, David Xanatos should be the one saying that.

Maybe.
I have been watching Gargoyles again and have been loving it.
Xanatos can pull of so many tones, and is just so funny.

He should replace TIM, Loghain, and every single other semi-bad guy leader in every  game.

It would have made the base descion a breeze.

Xanatos: Shepard dont you think we should keep the base?
Me: What why!
X: Because Im awesome?
Me: Oh yah thats right!

He's so good, he can shoot you and when you ask him why, he says:
"Do I really need an excuse to have a good time in my own home?"

And it would work.

Ok, my lovely beta testers!  This should work.  When you get that snippet of dialog he gives at warm, "I suppose I shouldn't be surprised at your success; you beat me. Perhaps you can do this, after all." he should be set for "friendly eligible."  He won't turn friendly until 76+ and his greeting won't change from the warm one (you still should get that -- "warm" generally returns "warm," "friendly," and "love").  If it doesn't work or if there's some weird behavior, let me know.  If it does work, I'll put it up on ZDF's page as an optional file.

I will test this ASAP. I have saves at Camp & Castle Redcliffe and Post Coronation. Will let you know ASAP.

Thank you so much!  This won't affect his post-coronation dialog at all -- that's a different dialog -- unless he has friendly dialog there (I didn't look at it).  There's an interesting note in there, though.  That snippet at warm originally was supposed to be in a different file so it would trigger automatically when you went to camp, but it was kept there because they ran out of money.

Alrighty. First results:

Changes I noticed:
If you say "There's something else I wanted to ask you" at camp, his response is much warmer.
Castle Redcliffe:
Talking to him after Riordan spills the beans yields new options if he is at Friendly. He will compliment you on building an army out of nothing. You can ask for his advice for the upcoming battle and on leading troops if you pick the "What do I have a general for, then?" option. You can also ask him "What if I make mistakes?" there.
DR Request: Obvious warmer reception to the Friends line. Warmer tone in general when it comes to yours survival.

I will post more once I've proceeded to the Gates and Fort Drakon, using both a DR and No-DR Save. Thank you, ejoslin. You've already expanded the character beautifully. Any chance you and Phaonica might join forces re: The Loghain expansion?

That is awesome.
Why doesn't that show up in the game? I had him at max before that.

Good things are worth it to wait for them. Adding all that cut/mangled dialogue alone is a great undertaking. Add to that the planned romance, early Landsmeet etc. Heh, asking ST wouldn't hurt. If we all sign a petition...

Because his Dialogue File is bugged. Even at +100 he'll remain on "Warm" rather than "Friendly". Ejoslin fixed his Dialogue File and thus made it possible for those lines to be heard at last.

AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW. Some Mods are REALLY worth it. But that fix ejoslin posted.......DAMN. I hate Bioware for not only cutting/mangling already recorded Loghain dialogue but also giving us a BUGGED version of what little they decided to keep in the game. Had some of this stuff been used and had the dialogue file not been bugged, I swear, Loggy would be way more popular. :P

Ohoh, thank you so much for testing it! I'll put it up on ZDF as an optional file. It is a shame that they didn't put this in the game :/ Reading through it changed my mind completely about Anora. There's so much to the character.

Anora? Ejoslin, which dialogue options are those? Asking about her at camp? (Must have done it wrong) Or somewhere else?

It's when you ask him if he was really going to kill Anora.

And Monica21, it's np at all.  It was a very easy fix.

Edit: Everyone should be able to see that dialog, IMO.  It may not change anyone's mind, but there is a bit more information there.
