Easy or no, it's still good to have, especially if you've dragged him across Ferelden on side quests you've saved. It really is appreciated.ejoslin wrote...
It's when you ask him if he was really going to kill Anora.
And Monica21, it's np at all. It was a very easy fix.
Edit: Everyone should be able to see that dialog, IMO. It may not change anyone's mind, but there is a bit more information there.

Ohoh, thank you so much for testing it! I'll put it up on ZDF as an optional file. It is a shame that they didn't put this in the game :/ Reading through it changed my mind completely about Anora. There's so much to the character.
Anora? Ejoslin, which dialogue options are those? Asking about her at camp? (Must have done it wrong) Or somewhere else?

I just saw the dialogue you mentioned. WOW. Another "small" yet utterly powerful part. It changes quite a lot.

Anora was justified for believing Howe would kill her. Her life really was in danger. Howe had suggested to Loghain that they kill Anora, and Loghain told him no and Anora knew about it.

If you ask him "Why would she (Anora) invent such a story?" he says something to the effect that she did not. Howe proposed the idea, Loghain refused it. Anora must have heard that discussion and based her fears on it. Even if her father said no, she did not trust him enough anymore.

It was all part of her Xanatos Gambit to ally with the Wardens. She stopped by at Howe's the minute she heard that Eamon and the Warden were in town and then sent Erlina to Eamon's estate.KnightofPhoenix wrote...

Never noticed that about the "warm" status. But sure as the day is long I just loaded an old save and of course you are both correct.

Not me, as Howe is still allowed to live, kill, trap, torture, etc. Loghain may be against the ideas, but he is complicit in the crimes by leaving this vermin in power.

But no, I didn't say it absolved him of his crimes. Just that it adds a little more depth to his motivation. Makes him more tragic, actually.
You know, I've never let Anora betray me at the Landsmeet. Maybe I should do that, just for the dialogue and to spare Loggy some heartbreak...

DAO On the roof of Fort Drakon - Loghain is friendly
"I would have expected you to kill me for what I did to you and you didn't. You have proven... a friend."
VO: said with begrudging respect and the end part almost in surprise
"I thought all along that only I could save Ferelden, but it was you."
