I actually got it in my video: - Skip to 4:15 for the whole speech.

I don't know how you managed that, Costin. I'm looking in the toolset and it shouldn't have triggered. If you didn't have video right there, I'd be inclined to think you'd misheard. Posted Image

I used console to set my approval level to friendly with him, then the dialogue triggered. I also saw all the dialogue about war tactics before using the friendly cheat, just talk with him after Riordan reveals what he knows about the Archdemon but before going to Morrigan.

When I was recording for that clip, it was the very first time I had heard that friend dialogue....needless to say I was simply stunned for a second until I remembered I was recording...

Getting called friend by Loghain...now that's a crowing moment in Dragon Age.

Whoa. Just whoa. You know, this would shut a lot of them Loghain haters up.

Probably not though.
Those folks are a seriously wierd bunch.

How is that new information?  I mean, I never believed Loghain really wanted to kill Anora.

You might be surprised that some do say he wanted to kill Anora.

Not sure if you can be counted as a Loghain hater anymore...since you ARE writing a romance story with him...

LOL Don't remind me of the cognitive dissonance, I might wake up and start deleting files in horror.

Just kidding, just kidding.  I always liked TST and TC Loghain.  He's a David Gaider character, how can you not.  I think I'm just a David Gaider fangirl, that's the bottom line.

I'll admit it's harder to look at screenshots of the Landsmeet since spending hours inside Loghain's head.

How such a "small" difference can change the whole thing.... The way he says "You have proven...a friend."  To think, were it not for wonderful people like ejoslin, phaonica and ellevide, this would never have seen the light of day.....

You may think that Addai. But many think him capable of it. And it shows that Anora was actually right and not just using the Warden to get away from a comfortable prison. He life actually was in danger.

Eh.  She went to Howe's estate voluntarily.  My Wardens don't mind breaking in there to get her out, but when she throws you under the bus if you reveal her that's pretty low.  She has a much greater chance of getting out of it all alive than the Wardens do.

Even when she told you not to beforehand?

Anora was obviously playing her game, but at least she told you not to reveal her.

She explicitly asked you NOT to reveal her identity. For she knows Howe will kill her and she also fears that her father MIGHT listen to Howe after all. She isn't safe at the palace or, much less, at Howe's estate. If you betray her, don't expect her to just take it like a good little NPC.;)

Edit: As for going voluntarily. She went under guard. Her own guards betrayed her to tne snake.

Problem however. Why would Howe let Erlina go out? Wouldn't he imprison her as well? Or kill her? Howe isn't stupid.

To be honest, this entire thing is badly written. Either Anora was a super genius who played a perfectly executed Xanatos Gambit, or everyone was stupid.

Hmmmmmmmm..............true again. Why would he let Erlina walk around? She supposedly did "errands for my lady". Would Howe fall for that? I doubt it..........

One more thing to consider. If Anora fears that Loghain's men are going to kill her....well isn't it obvious that they don't when she is revealed and she ends up at Eamon's estate regardless?
So when she is revealed, why does she appeal for Loghain's men to help her if she believes that they are here to kill her? Was it on the spur of the moment, thinking that she can confuse them and make them go for the Warden who is a greater target for Loghain? Or did she know that Loghain was not going to kill her?

More and more, it seems to me that Anora was playing her own game and testing the waters so to speak.
That, or the entire end game was rushed and it came out making little sense.

When you walk into a room full of Cauthrien's soldiers and mages, yes.  At that point, who has the better chance of surviving, the Wardens who are Public Enemy #1 and # 2, or the queen, Loghain's daughter?  She doesn't even give you a chance, however.

See above.  And going to Howe even with guard was stupid, especially after she heard he wanted to kill her.  Makes no sense whatsoever.  Perhaps that dialogue was left out for a reason, because it makes even less sense if she actually overheard Howe say it.

In a fight, I vote for the heavily armed fighters over the civilian queen.

I'm sorta inclined to agree with Addai. Though I will probably fail at arguing it, heh. If Anora really were in danger, does she think she has a better chance going at it alone than with the Warden who is right there and willing to try to rescue her? And if she's not really in danger, then she's leaving you to be killed/arrested by Cauthrien because you lost her game.

As far as the Warden goes, if the Warden thinks they or Anora are in real danger, does it make more sense for the warden to surrender and potentially be permanently captured and executed and whatever just to let Anora get away? Or is it better to try to let the Queen try to talk Cauthrien out of that? If you are going to try to talk Cauthrien down, it seems like the Queen would be more persuasive.

So you're supposed to engage that small army with the queen right there, when all of them think she is part of your band?  And that is healthier for Anora?  That doesn't make a lot of sense, sorry.

At that point the only thing that does make sense is to come clean with Cauthrien about Anora.  Even surrendering doesn't make a lot of sense, because the fact that Cauthrien just lets your party go without at least questioning them is dim on her part.

Anora says that if any of her people find her she'll be taken to her father and possibly killed (though she later says she knew this wasn't true). Still, if taken to her father then she would be kept out of the way during the Landsmeet and couldn't actually be there when her fate was decided. She told the Warden not to say anything.

When Cauthrien shows up, it's clear that she's only after the Warden (and Alistair if he's there). Under these circumstances, not drawing attention to herself is the best plan since Cauthrien doesn't care about a random guard. Once the idiot Warden blows her cover she has to flee or else she'll be taken to Loghain and sidelined during the Landsmeet.
