I actually ended up liking that elf, but only because I made her a shaven-headed lesbian rather than your stereotypical beautiful Mary Sue elf. She ended up running the wardens with Leliana at her side.

Not me. When Loghain defended selling the elves to the Tevinters at the Landsmeet, that just made my CE want to execute him all the more.Sarah1281 wrote...

I was really only wondering if anyone else had a CE that spared Loghain since everyone seems to be saying taht they're CE, in particular, insisted on killing them. It doesn't really have to be for the reason mine did.

Sort of in the vein of a Dark Side/Light side crisis moment.
Also I just replayed Overlord DLC and Simon Templeman is still epic, especially at the end of it.

I know, I'm sorry if I made it sound like I wanted to start a huge debate. I was just trying to make it clear why my CE doesn't really think that killing a noble will make things worse. In her mind, the Alienage is already as screwed as it can be.
Perhaps you should post this question in the elf thread too, how many CE (if any) have spared Loghain.

I decided to go back to ME1 after that - I hadn't managed to save a Spacer origin game, nor had I a game to import where I'd spared Fist, so I'm currently making a new Shepard. I might have moaned a bit about some of the changes in ME2 but now I'm replaying 1, it's pretty clear they're needed. The amount of time you spend messing with your inventory is daft, and the control system in 2 is a lot more user friendly. I do think it has more epic moments, though.
Anyway...enough off topic. I think you can find roleplay reasons for any character to spare or kill Loghain.

From what I've seen, most of the posters in the elf thread are Alistair fangirls which pretty much answers that question.Zjarcal wrote...

I quickly did a Loggy sig-banner and I thought I'd share it here:
That's nice.
And as an aside, I now concede that Loghain is, indeed, the deepest character in DA. Nobody else inspires the debate, the defense, the attacks, that he does. A very deep character.
Not that it changes my mind about killing him, but I do see the depth of character.

You could make them into a gif like I do, that way you'd have a rotation of siggies.

EDIT:
@Monica:
Glad you like it!
And yes, looks like you're full of glares.
