And I think he was right, Orlais was not being altruistic. I mean even you must see that no country in the world would devote its army to protect another without profiting somehow.
Add in the geopolitical situation in Thedas and the current distribution of power, and I can definitely see reasons why Orlais would want to gain influence in Ferelden. It makes perfect sense for them and if I was Orlais, this is exactly what I would have done (except I wouldn't be able to marry the imbecile).

This. As for Cailan being the king meaning he must be obeyed at all costs......Ferelden does not strike me as a country with an absolute, Maker given monarchy. The Landsmeet holds much power. Loghain himself treats his king more like a frustrated, concerned father than a subject, and he didn't treat Maric differently. The fact that the Landsmeet doubts Ostagar arguments (If you use them in the Landsmeet) and even mocks them occasionally......It seems that the king wasn't all that big a deal, even Maric did not command absolute obedience.

I think that has less to do with no one caring Cailan died and more to do with the fact you're making wild and unsubstantiated claims. The Landsmeet has to have proof of everything you say or they won't buy it. Sighard backs you up and they buy the torture, Alfstanna backs you up and they buy the blood mage poisoning of Eamon, you have the slaving documents and they buy that.

Am I just very sleepy atm or did someone make a Loghain dialogue mod to restore some dialogue? Just a bit disappointed with the little dialogue we actually got to have with him. Already at 100 approval and I want more!

Here you go. It's an optional file in her mod.

And while we're at it, has anyone had any problems using that file and still not getting Loghain to "Friendly"? I removed any conflicting files (from Terra_Ex's mod), but I still can't get his approval to reach "Friendly", no matter how high.

Bits of it are in the toolset, I think, including some dialogue.

But she's already made the Fade dream. It's on YouTube somewhere if I'm not mistaken.

The first thing that comes to mind is that I think ejoslin attached the friendly_eligible flag to a specific line of dialog ... the one where he says "I suppose I shouldn't be surprised by your success..." If you loaded the mod after he says that line, the flag won't be set.

You're JOKING. You wrote all of that YOURSELF?! That was amazing, phaonica. I tend to be stupidly picky with my dialogues - it's why I can't read much fanfiction beyond the first page - but this was par excellence. Did you quote lines from TST or something? I seem to recall Maric actually telling Loghain he was not Ferelden somewhere...
