What do you think Loghain did to the Orlesian prisoners after the battle?

I would think parading them in Denerim or liberated cities and then using them as a pressure tool against Orlais to be more useful then killing them all.

The Rebellion was far from won at that point however.

True. What about high ranking Orlesians? Those are worth imprisoning. I understand the rebels being incapable of imprisoning a lot of soldiers, but surely they can do it to a few high ranking officers.

I think that at River Dane there was only one High Ranking Officer, the commander and he was killed by Loghain during the battle.
Anyway posted it on FF.net, it is not proof read yet so please excuse my mistakes.

Very nice! Would have been lulzy if Loghain's arrow hit Rowan.

Excellent work!

Got back from work early today and switched on the TV. Happened that it was tuned to a channel that was showing a Charmed rerun. Not a show I've ever watched, but so happened that that particular episode featured one Simon T as the Angel of Death. Sat and watched the whole thing, just because. Odd hearing Loghain's voice come out of a blond fellow, heh.

I looked this up on Youtube, and Damn. Hearing Loghain's voice in any context is Image IPBImage IPBImage IPB

Nice work, Costin. There's a few typos in there, though.

Updated with the proofread version, so typos are fixed.

Someone compared my take on the battle with the battle of Lake Peipus...I must say I am flattered ( since I wasn't copying my strategy from any battle, just using my military logic ).

On top of the dialogue, he's also definitely more fun to listen to in battle than most of my companions. He's also one of the few who actually sounds like he's really fighting and yelling at the same time. Add Sten and Dog to the party and we are a formidable-sounding bunch. My Mage is usually pretty silent, too, so we are a formidable, manly-sounding bunch most of the time. =]

I've heard that it's possible to trigger the Landsmeet and unlock Loghain before gathering the entire army... how do you do this again?

You can't. Some suspect this may have been the original plan due to the presence of a Loghain Fade dream for the Circle and so forth. Phaonica is working on a mod, though...be patient.

I thought I read a post somewhere from a person who had recruited Loghain pre-Landsmeet due either to a mod, or a glitch caused by a mod, or something. In any case the point of the post was that a post-Landsmeet dialogue had been triggered between Loghain and Oghren in which Oghren says something to the effect of "don't start thinking you belong here", which made the poster laugh because due to the early recruitment, Loghain had actually been with the party longer than Oghren.

That's just a banter and I think it would apply regardless of how long Loghain had been with the party because if Oghren thinks Loghain's actions are the sort that would make him not belong with the world-saving party then it doesn't matter how long he's been there.

Every time you descibe how Loghain and Dog are destroying everything before your mage has a chance to cast a spell, I smile. Image IPB That must be a lot of fun, even if you aren't getting to attack anything, hehe.

It is loads of fun. At first I was a little --I wouldn't say annoyed, but slightly miffed-- that they keep bogarting all my kills. I had not expected my Mage to get many kills compared to my previous Wardens, who were both Rogues and got up in the midst of things for some serious slaughtering while Wynne and Morrigan hung back and were lucky to reach 200 kills for the whole game. However, before Landsmeet my Mage was on a pace to eclipse both of my Rogue PCs for # of kills and I was quite excited to see that happen. I have, by now, beaten my first Warden; she only had 872 kills for the whole game and my Mage had 809 going into Landsmeet, so it would have been tough not to-- but I now have doubts about my chances of beating my CE Rogue's final total of 1069 kills. But watching Loghain and Dog do their thing, I don't mind. Actually I've grown to appreciate the joys of fighting with them a lot more, and a lot faster, than I had thought. I had to leave them in Camp to do the Stone's Lament quest, because I couldn't not bring Shale to that, and I wanted to have her BFF Sten accompany her, and I needed a Rogue for lockpicking. I noticed the difference immediately at the start of our first mob fight. "Really, you guys? Do I have to kill them all for you? Well, I've already cast Sleep on that bunch over there, so I can't really --okay, hang on, let me run over to your bunch and Mind Blast them for you. Come on, people, stay with the group and don't wander off! I can't be everywhere at once! <_< *grumbles. ..I miss my freaks. . .*"

That does sound like loads of fun. I'll be excited when I can get back to playing this game instead of just working on it. Image IPB

Especially after my experience with him as a companion, your mod may seriously tempt me to buy the PC version of this game. . .B):D

Damn, you hit every note perfectly. The politics going on between Eamon and Cailan. The consideration of putting a Cousland on the throne, and Ellie's involvement in that. Loghain's searcing for the ship, and his being the last one to let it go. The reaction of the common folk to Maric's loss.

And, of course, I can't help but consider the canon version of this where Loghain goes through all of this without Ellie. Image IPB
