Loghain made some jumps in logic with the information available to him. He screwed the mabari and Ferelden suffered for it. My thought is maybe, just maybe The Orlesian Chevaliers would come. Hordes of them to stop the blight. The Fereldens stock the front lines and the Chevaliers in the back, the Darkspawn press forward on the different fronts and the Chevaliers pull a Loghain, pull out while the Ferelden forces get slaughtered.



They retreat, ferry a tone of mercs to act as Infantry, and then with the Wardens stop the Blight. Then take over Ferelden. Its the perfect cover and they lost no one in the process of taking this backwater country.



Even if it wasn't a true Blight some the Banns could make a backroom deal to support the Chevaliers, totally unhappy with punkass Cailan in charge, and Orlais suddenly has a third of Ferelden supporting its hostile take over.



So its very fricken possible.



But nevertheless, Loghain screwed up and pays it for in blood or karma. If not for the books I don't think I'd have this kind of sympathy for the man. But he is a man, no matter his legend or titles or experience. Good men can be broken, and people who do the "Right Thing" can do it for the Wrong Reasons.

Knight: 'Tis almost amusing to have all these arguments about our plans for Fereldan, since they are ultimately pointless. Still all this talk of war does make wonder what kind of world war is about to begin in Thedas in Dragon Age 2.

And yea, I'e watched all of them and I'll probably get the game when I get my new pc. It looks good. Too bad the USSR has only 6 missions. And its counter-insurgency mission was meeh. The Russians were fighting like guerrillas and the Americans like brutes in that mission, which kind of kills the purpose.

Well the Americans almost always fight like Brutes. How they are able to muster so many forces when they are supposed to be outnumbered is beyond me.

Yea, they are pointless, but fun!
I hope whatever happens in DA2 is plausible. But chances are it will be due to some extra-ordinary event that we can't qualify.
I would have loved if DA2 was about uniting the Free Marches and setting the stage for some war, maybe with Nevarra. But I doubt that will happen.

Since the thread is too quiet today...

Finally I have managed to install some Alistair's mods (Royal Wedding and Rendezvous at the Tavern), find an old save where my PC romanced him, and... abuse them all...

Hope the modders don't kill me for this...but I got some shots, for hmmm.... research purpose: link and link. Btw do you guys use modded underwear models or the vanilla ones?

I've just started using Natural Bodies (I like the hairy Theseus body for human males) but the problem with that is you're naked under your clothes, which may lead to some awkward situations. I keep boners turned off. The sex scenes may be less scinitillating but it avoids making the awkward situations even more awkward (prisons, Fort Drakon, Return to Ostagar...)

Yea, the whole cutscene turned out pretty nice, kudos for DahliaLynn.

You need to open Loghain's head file in the toolset from Core and single player head morphs.zip, save it as genfl_alistair.mrh and then Tools->Export->Post Local, it will create a genfl_alistair.mor file somewhere (see the Log window where it is), then just copy this file to the override folder.
It is kind of weird hearing Alistair's voice from Loghain's head but it is worth the screenshots.

Oh, I always forget to turn off the boners from the Natural Bodies... and then it hits the screen in the worst moments.

There is a way to use tmp's underwear proportions fix but use the Theseus chest, but I'm not capable enough to say how.  It involves swapping in just that file from NBAIO.

I just leave the unders on myself.  But I do have Pretty in Pink mod running, so at least they're more fashionable unders (link and link).

Poor Alistair gets zombified for all the Awakening guys, too.  And Teagan.  And who knows who else.  He's a victim of his own fan mods.

But, as you say, the screenshots rule all!

As I said up above, Alistair has been morphed for every male human NPC from here to Seheron.  I've never seen cme complain about it.  Dunno about DahliaLynn.  If you're just doing it for your own amusement, I don't see how it's a big deal.

Aww those are sweet shots. I thought the wedding scene with Loghain was pretty surreal, but awesome. I don't have Rendezvous, but I have several of the other Alistair mods that I morphed Loghain into, too (and Nathaniel, on occasion). link

I want my Gwaren wedding mod.  Oh well, it lives in my brain. 

And I don't touch the toolset anyway, so no screenshots for me.  My game characters breathe easier that way since I can't imagine what horrors my incompetence would produce.  I picture it like a Japanese monster movie, NPCs in their little pixel world running for the hills screaming "she's at the toolset, NOOOOO!!!!"

Also I broke my own rule about not reading Loghain fanfiction, but couldn't resist reading this little one on his childhood.  It's really good.

I had to LOL at the glowing crotch from the River Dane armor.

IRS-A will give you a lot of the Alistair stuff in one package.  It could be... inspirational.  I'm already thinking how I can work this scene into The Arrangement, thanks to my discussions with Persephone.    The optimum time for that scene in TA has probably passed, though.  Ellie would just tackle him.  LOL

Awkward or comical?   The first time I sided with Loghain at the Landsmeet my wife had that program running (allegedly to improve the default skin tone of some characters).

Anyway I had stripped Allistair down of all his goodies anticipating him bailing out of the group when Loghain was spared.   Boy did that make a funny scene!

Something has been bothering me and I thought I'd throw it out for y'uns' thoughts.

Rowan was pretty upset about Loghain, judging from the TST epilogue.  So was Loghain, for that matter, since he didn't go to Denerim at all during the first few years of Maric's reign.  So why did they all agree to betroth Cailan and Anora??
