Addai - sorry to hear about the migraines. I used to suffer from those and most people don't really understand how debilitating they are. I haven't had a bad one since I got laser eye surgery, funnily enough. Anyway, hope the meds work out for you.

Yes, they really are, though in this case I'm wondering if the cure is worse than the disease. Main frustration I have is that it's getting so I can't even take a walk without triggering one, let alone go to the gym, and I had to give up Pilates, etc.CalJones wrote...

Anyway, here's a little more Loghain bringing his own special brand of Christmas cheer.

What about the "River Dane"? Will you have an elite squad of fighters named "the Night Elves"?
I can't name figher and bomber squadrons unfortunately, but no harm in pretending
And yea, I might have another capital ship called the River Dane. Maybe a Marza dreadnought.

.... though I suppose that means that Loghain is *already* on my server somewhere...
... but I'm not crazy enough to stalk someone over that... I think .... hehe
And I like the idea of a ship named The Mac Tir. That sounds pretty epic.

Much as I like Simon Templeman, I have to picture Loghain with a wee bit of brogue. Ferelden strikes me as Scotland moreso than England, and the consummate Fereldan should be a good Gael.
P.S. On this subject, we enjoyed the movie The Centurion and I can recommend it for historical movie fans. At least nothing stood out to me as ahistorical, which often happens in such movies.
P.P.S. Oh. my. gawd. I just saw that Nathaniel Howe's VA was in that movie and I never even noticed him... have to re-watch it over Christmas!!

How about the fact only 7 men survived from an entire Legion? Or that the Picts had enough balls of fire to hit every cohort, or that the formation of the Legion is not something any commander in that time would take. Each Legion was made up of 10.000 men...so some things there are just improbable.
As a historian that movie irked me to no end. I would say it's good...but the history in it is butchered in my eyes ( besides it is nothing more then mere legend that the 9th Legion was destroyed in Britain ). Yes I understand perfectly well there are issues with scaling but there are other movies where they deal with it far better then here. ( Spartacus, Atilla the Hun, 300 for instance ).
Even 300 ( which is fantasy in so many situations ) was far better in terms of history then this.
I recommend watching http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0361240/ and http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0259127/
So have an unholy grudge against that game - one that is on a par with Loghain's view of the Orlesians.
Let me understand this correctly: You have a grudge against a game for "stealing" the members of your community?
Just out of curiosity. Maybe you considered that WoW was a far better game then UO for those people that left your community? I understand you may not like it for varrying number of reasons, but it may be that quite a lot of people have different opinions and they do find it a far better game.
Just my 2c. I also have a unholy grudge against those people shouting against WoW for "stealing the players of the MMORPG community" or "destroying Warcraft storyline" or some other stuff which I personally just find a load of BS.

And I just googled, but what I'm seeing is 3000-4000 men, not 10,000, that it had subunits elsewhere than Britian and had lost half its numbers to Boudica (hurrah for Celtic women ). But, whatever. We still liked it. And, not on topic.
A Legion was made up of the Legionnaires themselves of course, but also Auxillia ( which after Augustus's reforms where equal in numbers to the Legionnaires themselves ).
I am not saying the movie ****. Quite the contrary, if I switch to my I-don't-care-about-history mode then it is quite enjoyable. Spartacus or Atilla are better in my honest opinion ( the actors are just great )
As for Boudica. She was nothing more then a pathetic butcher of innocents who led people in a useless revolt. The fact is she lost a battle where she outnumbered the enemy ten to one ( or 20 to one, but I laugh at that estimate )
(hurrah for Celtic women )
You really should read on what she did to her enemies. There are some things in our history that make me shudders to this day, and that is one of them.

OR at least that is the common idea that they were the ones who instigated her revolt.

War, revolts, rebellions are never started because of just one side. Both sides have a blame in the conflict.
