Heh. To tell the truth, it's a Mod made for Alistair that I shamelessly used with Loghain to make screenshots.
As for pastimes: I think he'd be brilliant at chess. As would his lovely daughter. I could see them having heated chess matches.^^ Also, I could see him sparring with his men regularly as Caesar did. (They loved him for it) Reading. (Listen to his refined speech....) Now the question is, what would a man like Loghain read? My version of Loghain also loves to ride. He loves animals in general, mabaris being his weakness Nr. 1, I think.
Now that I can see: when Anora was young, instead of playing with dollies, sitting down with daddy in his study and learning to play chess (and even beating him a couple times). And maybe wrestling/sparring too. She certainly was not "a girly girl" growing up.
As far as reading goes, I can see him enjoying Ferelden based literature, like collections of Ferelden folklore, Ferelden history and geography, ect. And strangely enough, he might even read a book or two on botany, given his wife's love of gardening, so he could have conversations with his wife about her interests. I think he did love his wife, even if he still carried a flame for Rowan, and would have made efforts to share in some of her interests as well.
The story Anora tells you about the rose bush actually says alot about his character: he meant to help his wife with the rose, ended up killing it because gardening is not one of his talents. Yet instead of shrugging it off and saying "sh*t happens", he went out of his way (and probably got scratched up legs in the process) of making it up and setting things right.
A very touching, but insightful, summary of Loghain's character, in general, because it is not difficult at all to see the paralells between that, and the plot in general.
