Descendants that the snake already preempted against and ate :P

Wrong, because when the snake was but hatching, she was already experimenting with genetic engineering, and created super cyborg tigers. :P

Although the Chinese signs are a bit meh. Everyone born in 1989 is a snake. Yea that makes me feel so special lol. Are you telling me even the most stupid of my friends in school are snakes too?

Yeah, lol. Though by extention, your "rising sign" in chinese astrology is considered by the hour you were born, and is considered very important. I was born hour of the dragon. You know...a really REALLY big snake that tiger happens to get along fine with. :bandit:

And hey, apparently each sign is assigned to a country. Strangely enough, Spain is considered a Tiger country...you live there lol. Saudi Arabia is considered a snake and geographically speaking that's from where I descend. Awesome!

Hey wow, that is pretty cool. Where do you find the different signs for each country?

EDIT: lol USA is a monkey.

OMG.....alot of people might argue in favor of chinese astrology on that fact alone. :pinched:

From wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia....Monkey_(zodiac)

Not sure how accurate it is (and how relevent), but it's funny.

And I'll have to ask my mom which hour I was born in. I seem to recall that it's in 3 something in the morning, which I think makes me a tiger! lol

LOL! France is a monkey too! Ok, I can get behind this.....

How interesting...the tiger rules Russia, North Korea, and Romania. You hear that, Costin? I rule you. :P

There are also elements associated with each year. Strangely, I'm a wood tiger. I was hoping to be a metal tiger. :police:

Edit to add: Tiger and Monkey are both in direct opposition to one another, and tend to be enemies. Monkey=US Tiger=Russia. How interesting....

Huh interesting.

The snake is also in good relations with the monkey. Saudi Arabia and the USA.

Mhh. Apparently judging an individual is not based upon day or year, but on birth hour and I got mine wrong though I just verified it with my mother.

In such a case. I am Dragon, born in the day of Sheep...( Seriously WTF?! ). Not bad though. I am born at 8:30 so I am close to being a snake ( given that I born in a year of the snake that's good ).

Red Dragon, Black Sheep, Red Cow is bloody lol though.

Ok I checked the info with my mom. I was born on the hour of the snake (9:20), metal rooster day, year of the snake, and originating from a snake country (Saudi Arabia). So 3 snakes aha!

Ahh I dont go for the mystical mumbo-jumbo/fortune telling stuff.

I got my palm read in Calgary this summer (kept my wallet in my pocket the whole time) and got some goofy stuff.

Apparently my finances will change very soon, and I have big choices ahead!

SHOCKING!

Then again I only paid 5 bucks.

If it was 20 bucks I bet I would have been winning the lottery in her predictions.....

In the Middle East, there is a tradition of turning a almost finished cup of black coffee upside down, wait for a bit, then look back at the cup and read it. Some people take it seriously, but it's nonsense and just for fun.

The first time I did it, I got an awesome cup! There was a man with a big brain, with his hands touching his forehead thinking almost psychic like.. Next to him was a globe with a sword piercing it. And there were 4 rows of people looking at him and raising their arms in a Roman salute.

Of course, 15 year old me interpreted that the guy with the big brain was me lol

There is one we do in Canada.

You take the wish bone from a turkey and break it in half between two people.

Whoever gets the bigger piece has their wish come true.

Its done mostly with a Thanksgiving turkey though.

@ Giggles: Yeah, we do the same in the states. My mom and uncle used to actually fight over the wishbone.

@KoP: Reading coffee grounds? Sounds a bit like tea leaf reading, but Middle eastern style. I think every culture has some form of divination, many still practiced today, despite the fact we are in the space age, and have landed on the very moon people once believed to be linked with fortune telling.

It is fun, even though I don't take it seriously. I still like doing birth charts ("Western" zodiac) because it's sort of a complex puzzle involving mathematics, psychology, and esoteric knowledge, alot of the time. Astrology was the precurser to astronomy, a subject I love, so it's pretty fun to sort of back track and look at the constellations and movement of the planets the same way our ancestors did.

We do the wishbone thing in Britain at Christmas (the American turkey has long since displaced our traditional Christmas goose).

There used to be a tradition of reading tea leaves but tea bags pretty much killed that one.

FINALLY, Chapter 2 is up. I still have no name for this fic. This chapter was a particularly hard slog, for some reason. Subsequent chapters should not take so long (I hope) --in fact I wrote large chunks of some of them while banging my head over #2. :P

Anyway, hope you enjoy. Chapter 3 has more original content and Loghain snark. Stay tooned. . .

Mr. Addai is quite a wit. =]

I'm trying to read your fic, though I keep finding spoilery bits from the novels that I have to skip, and as you once said, it's tough to read fic about the same characters of which you're writing. Although your Loghain is a bit different from mine, so I can still enjoy him and not get muddled. :P

You haven't read the novels?!?  What are you doing reading my stupid story?  lol

It is very spoilery.  I rip off The Stolen Throne a lot.  What can I say, I <3 that story to bits.  I'd say I want someone to film it, but they'd probably screw it up.
