The Baneblade is awesome! So is the Leman Russ Executioner.

Pic from your campaign? I personally loved the game, but that's mostly based on the continuating of a story, my liking of the Warhammer Universe and BIG Guns!

Without those things I think of it as a pile of **** seriously. There was a point when I stuck on one mission on the Judgement of Carion until I said screw it, went on another mission and got Castor a plasma gun which he used to ONE SHOT almost every single one of my enemies.

Talk about balance.

Yep, campaign. The one where you destroy the Land raider, which was epic. And Relic is notorious for bad balancing.

And the final mission is annoying. Especially those stupid Bloodcrushers that spawn from a Chaos portal that for some reason, I can't destroy. But yea, Angelos is a badass, even in death.

I loved playing Dawn of War 2.

Imitated Arthur Currie and had my rolling barrage working out just fine.
That was until I waded into it with my hero unit.

Fun game but wow... for a small race I killed a lot of Eldar.
So much for a superior race!

Bad balancing is too midlly put for when your hero takes a plasma bolter and starts 2 shooting dreadnoughts on the hardest difficulty! Let alone the poor Carnifex which was instantly killed.

Seriously? If I had been playing on normal I could done the entire last two missions with just Castor ( no bodyguards, no healing ).

The Warhammer universe has a strong sense of grim reality to it...until you encounter something like THIS in a game.

No don't ask me how I got four tanks bigger then anything in any country's arsenal of weapons fighting in the corridors of a spaceship.

I am more curious as to how Castor can call in Valkeries dropping tanks in a spaceship lol. Seriously, that ability should have been removed in the Judgement of Carrion mission/. That, alongside the Valkerie napalm and rocket strike.

Ok, I just started the Chaos campaign. Eliphas is a badass (it almost rhymes).

Spoiler Alert (highlight to see)

He kills Davian Thule in the first mission.

Dogs have owners, cats have staff. Dogs come when called, cats take a message and get back to you.

And as always, I am happy to serve my betters. :D

LOL I love Eliphas. Calls his subordinates "pitiful fools" for no reason.

Chaos is not bad.

Our cat comes when we call it.

He may just swipe you on the way by though.

He always come if you say milk though.

:crying: My sympathies man.
I lost my cat I had, had for years a few years back as well.

My make me a heathen but I really cried when we put down our Border Collie.
I had taught her like 30 tricks over the years.

Losing a pet bites.

I did get a bit chocked up when Loghain talked to dog about losing his dog.

Oh, no! :crying:  I'm really sorry to hear that!

It always breaks my heart when I hear of the passing of one of the Supreme Ones, even when I do not know them.

I shall lift my glass of Coke in a toast to your kitty's life. From the looks of it, he had a very long, happy life with you, and now gets to retire to kitty heaven, where the mice are slow, the birds can't fly, the litter is always clean, the female cats are always in heat, and doors will always open in response to their desires.

What was Mr. Kitty's name?

Thanks guys. I guess if there's a silver lining it's that it happened pretty quickly --for such an old cat he was in decent health right up til the end. Still made for a horrendous weekend, and I have a very confused other kitty still at home who is wondering where the hell her big brother went. :crying:

@Skadi: His name was Sylvester Augustus --Gus for short.

Awww! R.I.P, Gus!  Yeah, it is only small comfort that he did not suffer.

It is sad and confusing even more for other pets left behind, especially if they have been bonded in some way for years. You and your remaining kitty can comfort one another, though.

My cat Artemis was distraught for months when her brother/littermate went missing, and wasn't the same. And they were only a year and a half old, so it will probably be more confusing for your kitty.

The worst is watching her refuse canned food because she always used to wait for him to start eating before she did. She won't starve because she eats dry food on her own, but it's still heartbreaking to watch. I even predicted that she would do this and it still chokes me up.

This is a very poor-quality picture of Gus but it's all I could access at work:

Awwww, Gus looks awesome! Like a big, soft, omniscient, omnipotent bundle of snowy fur.

It is especially hard, because you can't explain to your other kitty what happened and why, and can only give her cuddles and love while she tries to sort out where her big bro went.

But I understand what you are going through. Here's an e-hug from me and my kitties, as well as some kitteh-ghain for you:

He was pretty much lord and master of the house, it's true. Zoe, unfortunately, while she can be a lap-cat when she chooses to be (though never when she's asked, of course. . .), is not much of a cuddler --with humans, anyway. This is how she rolls, cuddle-wise:

I will eventually adopt another cat but if I do it sooner rather than later it will be for her sake.

AWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:wub::wub::wub::wub::wub::wub::wub::wub:

What a beautiful pair of kitties. I take it Zoe is the short haired one? Gus looks like a big, soft pillow. But he certainly looks lion-like enough to be the boss cat.:police:

Reminds me of my kids, Artemis and Apollo, also brother and sister. They would cuddle like that, and spend hours grooming and cuddling, or tumbling and playing. Too bad we're not neighbors, Zoe and Artemis could form a support group for kitties who have lost a sibling. :(

Zoe is indeed the short-haired one. They were not literally brother and sister; she's only ('only') 13 and as far as I know --though they're both former strays from the same city-- they had no parents in common. The triangle in our house went: Gus would follow me around wherever I went and cuddle with me, then Zoe would follow Gus and, if she found him asleep, would sit on, groom and cuddle with him. I have many, many variations on that picture as a result.

Some reflective Loghain for OT-ness:

My condolences. I once had a cat at my grandparent's house ( a stray me and my brother found when we were kids on summer holiday there ), we loved him dearly...and then we left ( since we live in the capital and they live in a small town ) and when we came back next year we were told he had died.

My grandparents told me they applied some substance to his fur to keep the fleas out but he licked his fur ( doh, but we are talking here of Romania before concepts like computers even existed ) and died due to poisoning. I personally think they just threw him out and lied to us.

I never quite forgave my grandparents for this, nor did I forgive my mother for not allowing me and my brother to take him home ( who was very much against animals as she as a doctor hates them ).

Thank you, Costin. Although it is quite possible that your grandparents were telling the truth about the flea-preventative thing --a lot of those products including flea collars can be quite toxic and even fatal to cats if ingested. They could have kept a better eye on him or been more informed/conscientious in their choice of product, but they may not have just thrown him out. I can't really explain your mother's attitude, though.

@Skadi: How long ago did Apollo go missing? And does Artemis have any other playmates?

My mother is a VERY strong advocate of keeping clean in a house, and she is strongly against animals because of that. Though there is one argument I do agree with her on ( that an animal doesn't deserve to be locked in a flat ).

They could have kept a better eye on him or been more informed/conscientious in their choice of product, but they may not have just thrown him out.

True enough, though there is a particular story behind my beliefs. Since well my grandfather once took him and threw him well over a dozen feet from the door to the street. almost incredibly the cat survived without an injury ( I suppose that proves feline superiority if nothing else...).

Apollo went missing close to two years ago. Another cat, one of the village strays who used to hang out in our back garden that we also fed, went missing soon after, and she was very fond of him as well. This was around the time when we first got Missy, so she did have a playmate, but it took her 3 months before she would even play with Missy, or stop looking for her brother. So she does have Missy, who she tolerates and occasionally grooms, but she pretty much tries to beat the crap out of any other cat. Including Ginger, a cat we foster when our friends are go back to England for a few months.

She is the local bully cat, and I've seen her attack cats much bigger than her if they even look like they might climb in our yard. Where as Missy is much more social and affectionate, and often drops her kills in the stray's food dish as sort of a "peace offering".
