My kind of lady.

God Anders and Fenris are such a holes to her though.

Agreed, I didnt quest with them beyond their companion missions simply because I didnt like hearing them berate Merrill so much... Oh! and because I didn't need them....

I made it through the game with a 2 Mage, 2 Rogue policy for my party and it worked every time :D

Fenris kept killing my party.

Isabela was kind of squishy in all the fights I got into.
Then she ran off in Act 2.

Shame really.

She came back to me during Act 2 after running off. And I upped her squishiness by giving her rings and belts that increased her health and armor, plus making a habit of adding a point to constitution every other level.

I just could not replace any one of those squad mates.

Varric was so much win really.

Varric I can honestly say is easily in the top 2 of my favorite RPG companions. He's resourceful, perfect in a fight, funny, has good insight during quests, and has never given me reason or want to remove him from my party. He was a constant fixture, even during companion quests I'd just switch out Merrill or Isabela

Interesting development! No-fly-zone put in place.
Russia and China abstained from using their veto power. What's itneresting is that it's Britain and France that are the biggest proponents of this. For obvious reasons.

We'll see what happens.

As Gandalf said in the Lord of the Rings: Return of the King movie.

"So it begins."

Idiots, that's all I am going to say about those who did this, just idiots.

Smart move from those who did not vote though.

Skadi: It would appear the genuises in Washington are about to recognize the rebel governement in Libya, and are allowing them to set up an office in DC.

Wow....just.....wow.....

Yeah. Brilliant move, lol. Well, maybe. I'm sure the rebel govornment is going to be very "grateful" to whatever private enterprise wishes to enter Libya. Outstanding.

And if we manage to pull this whole thing off, great. We now have given extremism yet another few arrows for its quiver. Way to go. Brilliant.<_<

@KoP: As having once been part of enforcing a different no-fly zone, I only can say this:

And thanks for everyone's input on the romances. Sounds like they are alright, though not the same attachment level as DAO, for the most part. Isabella's sounds surprising interesting, given the general image of the character.

Naturally, I am going to romance Anders, since I was deprived of this pleasure in Awakening. Yeah, not only is he the most awesome man-mage ever (he loves cats, and was The Beloved of The Pounce), but the whole being possed by Justice and having his anti-Chantry sentiments start warping into extremism, and struggling with himself....so much epic tragedy potential it makes me swoon.:wub:

The brilliant side is if you don't manage to pull this off the guy with a few tons of mustard gas remains in power and will be very much pissed at you, France and the UK.

Yeah, you can figure how well this is going to end.

@ Skadi.
I've come to the conclusion that Anders became crazy in large part because he was deprived of Ser Pounce-a-lot.

Ironically, I was thinking about the same thing when I was reading the DA2 spoilers threads, lol. I mean, if the Pounce was there, Anders hands would have been too busy petting, scratching the ears, and adoring His Pouncieness to be engaged in making bombs and blowing sh*t up. Anders would consult The Pounce about his terrorist aspirations, and The Pounce would reply "STFU about all this bombing business and keep petting me until I fall asleep, please." And Anders would joyfully comply.

I saw the romance scene where before Anders gets jiggy with Hawke, he lays out bowls of milk for the stray kitties. Twas sad to watch. He really is lost without Pounce.

Thedas is going to hell in a handbasket because Ser Pounce a Lot is not amused with the dog loving hacks at Bioware who so sacreliglously removed him from the sequel. His Wrath shall be great in DA3.B)

Anders refers to the Pounce on several occasions. But on a serious note, I think his absence did have some impact on him.

It wouldn't surprise me. He really did love that cat, and they had a really neat bond in Awakenings. And being forced to give it up must have been very traumatic. Ser Pounce a Lot was his best friend, and gave him the kind of unconditional companionship he craved. The Pounce didn't care that he was a mage, or an apostate. And Anders has an affinity for cats. I think having the Pounce around would have calmed him quite a bit.

I wonder if that was a factor in Anders merging with Justice, since it would have happened after losing Ser Pounce-a-Lot.

When I play DA2, I'm going to pretend it wasn't MY Warden Commander that made him give Ser Awesomekiity up. Wouldn't happen on MY watch! <_< I'd just make Anders leave the pounce at the Keep, and take a little lock of fur with him to the Deep Roads.

Oh I wouldn't put it past Arcturus to make Anders give up the Pounce, just so he can have him :P
And agreed 100% on your interpretation on the relation between him and the cat. He even criticizes the mabari dog for not being as good as Pounce lol.

Oh and the Anders romance becomes more interesting with rivalry I think.
Mostly because of this. Spoilers of course.
That's what I will do with my female rogue. She'd be doing a poor job at helping Anders control himself. Which would add an element of self-guilt at the end, which means mroe tragic awesome. Not that helping him makes any difference, he still ends up doing what he did.

Another reason it will be so painfully difficult to kill Anders. He seems to be the only enlightened cat lover in Thedas. Who will leave out saucers of milk for the street kitties when he's gone, in a world full of marbari venerating heathens?

tell Arcturus to leave the Pounce alone and get his own cat! There's mods for that! :P

I use the pet cat mod on my canon mage. She's a devout cat person. She hopes Pounce and Juniper will make lots of little Pounce-ipers, so their awesomeness remains for future generations to enjoy.

twas sad to watch. Poor Anders, he's being devoured from within, and can't stop himself. Yeah, rivalmancing him brings on a new element of pain and tragedy. Sniff. But wonderfully so.

Still would have rather romanced Anders with my Warden, though. <_<

A pity that Justice /Vengeance is not explored as much as I would have liked. We go to the fade once in DA2 and I recommend bringing Anders. There, it's only Justice. But still not enough.

I think the real tragedy is Justice. He was on the verge of finding enlightenment in Awakening, only to be twisted and driven mad by reality (a delicious irony for me, as that's what I think usually happens to ultra-idealists, though on a smaller scale and sometimes on a larger one). It was a nice touch, that the Warden is not so awesome as to be able to enlighten spirits. But still, the Warden was not there and Anders was definitely not the kind of guidance Justice needed.

Before release, I was saying in the Anders forum in the DA2 section that I would love to be able to convince Justice to ditch vengeance, but without reverting to his naive former self. Not Justice, nor Vengeance. But Order. But alas, the option is not there and there is not enough interaction with him.

That strikes me as an incredibly meh ambition. Order? Just order for its own sake?
