Aw, you hadn't played it before?

I absolutely loved that DLC. I also get VERY teary eyed at the end. I myself didn't keep David in the project altough what Archer said about how "if one life can spare thousands of mothers the agony of losing their sons" (it was something like that, right?), really showed that despite everything, his intentions were good and that he knew what he was sacrifcing. Still, I couldn't just leave David there... :crying:

And yes, Loghain = Awesome... damn it, I mean, Simon T. = Awesome. :wizard:

No, this was my first time and I just finished. Still teary eyed lol.

Millions of mothers, but yea that's what he said. I do not doubt that Gavin loves his brother, and that's why in some ways, I admire his resolve. Unlike Branka, he knew what he was sacrificing and did not take it lightly, at least not at the end.

According to TIM (who apparently didn't know about this), Cerberus will provide medical care for David and hopefully make it a bit more humane.

Funny thing... when I was playing and the decision about what to do with David came up, my first thought was "KoP would definitely keep him in the project".

Seriously, that was the first thing I thought. ^_^

LOL really?

I bet you didn't expect me getting teary eyed over it though :P

Not teary eyed I admit. Touched perhaps but not teary eyed. It warms the heart to know that you were teary eyed over it. <3

Then again I never would've expected for you to have a soft spot for Legion and even want to hug him. =]

I like to be as rational as possible and to act on reason. But I do not like to suppress or dismiss emotions. In fact, I am a softie at heart. I just don't let it shape my actions / opinions as much as humanly possible.

Legion is cute lol. Yea, always had a soft spot for him. And Tali too, I wanted to hug her too when she was trying to initiate the romance and saying how she always saw Shepard but that he could not see her behind the mask :crying:

Still, Anton is not romancing anyone in ME2, but I have little doubt that Tali is the best female romance in the game. Very touching.

The cruel thing is that females get that convo with Tali too (which we really shouldn't, as that is clearly a romance convo), giving us the false impression that we could've had her but it's all just a LIE!!! :crying::crying::crying:

Oh really? I didn't know. Huh, I thought it was romance only. It sure sounded like it.
Well the convo doesn't sound that special anymore lol.

But yea, it was hard saying no. Harder than with Miranda, and certainly much harder than with Jack (though I do not like how Shepard has to be mean about it).  I hope Tali will become an admiral in the future. She delt with humans and I htink she can be a useful ally. Plus she can continue her father's legacy.

My only memory of that DLC is the loud level of cursing at the screen about the %@!( hovercraft. I hated that soooo much. I just wanted the DLC to be over and haven't ever played it again. It does have a good story, but once was enough.

As will be no surprise, I'm not too fond of the cutesy female character of the game. I was indifferent to Tali in ME1, but the weird turn of making her fawn over Shepard (whether you even talked to her in 1 or not) put me off her character completely. I didn't intend for it to happen, but she died in my Suicide Mission and I don't care that much. It will be interesting to see what effect that has on the Quarians. They're resourceful, but if you have an ally that can die if someone sneezes on them, not so sure they'll do much against Reapers anyway.

Is Phaonica around still??

I think it's a sad era when being cute is considered bad :( Heck, even I enjoy being called cute. By some select few people.

Phaonica is busy with studies I think. I am guessing it's the finals period, which should end soon.

Ha ha! Actually once you get used to flying it, it's not so bad, but I was cursing a blue streak when I first tried the Firewalker missions.

As far as David goes, I could never leave him in the project, not even on my renegades. Just looking at that machine made me feel sick. Poor bugger. (Of course, Legion's mission made Overlord less relevant anyway, so losing that potential doesn't bother me so much).

KoP - have you tried Lair of the Shadowbroker yet? For a DLC it's brilliant (and it really highlights how ****** poor the Origins DLCs are by comparison). The new one, Arrival, is not so much. From a story point of view it's very relevant but it's quite short, no companions (guess they didn't want to hire all the companion voice actors again) and felt more like one of the regular in-game missions. However, being the obsessive-compulsive competionist dork that I am, I've had to play it through on every one of my ten Shepards. Heh...

The cutesy, little girl thing is fine as long as it stays on the other side of camp and/ or down in the engine room.  I barely talked to Tali in ME1 and then you come across her diary where she's pining "I wish Shepard were here."    Her loyalty mission was good, though.  I like Renegading the stupid Council.

I'm still around. I check in once in a while, to see what the hot DA topics are and to read the Arrangement. School is keeping me really busy and I feel bad that It's brought my Loghain project to a halt. Dont' want to let you guys down. I still have every intention of finishing it eventually.

Well you did save her life and the entire bloody galaxy...and I assume you acted like a decent person in many decisions ( like saving the people on Feros for instance ).

So uh, don't think it's that odd for Tali to develop a hero worship for Shepard.

The issue with ME companions ( in both 1 and 2 ) is that don't really care about most things you do.  Since there is no approval meter for any of them, just loyalty missions.

Oh, there you are.  :)  You mentioned once that you had read Kushiel's Dart- I was wondering what you think of it.

Yeah, but that kind of stuff is offputting to me.  Liara was like that in ME1, but she grew up and got a life.  Tali regressed.  It was for fanservice purposes, but geez.

Eh well, Tali was supposedly to be able to romance both female and male Shepard, they took off fem Shep/Tali romance options but did not bother to change the rest of the dialogue in game.

So uh yeah.

Personally I was very phased off by having the ability to romance Garrus as female and Tali as male when I heard of them before the game was released. I look at the relationship my Shepards had with them as being a fatherly type one, since you were basically guiding these two young people in a very critical moment of their lives.

That said I very much liked the Tali romance when I experienced it, though I AM biased as Tali strongly reminds me of a girl I once loved ( note the wording here ). A very strong but kind person who could be a really big workaholic and shy sometimes.

+Tali's voice somewhat resembles said girl...so ugh yeah weird I guess but there you have one of my major reasons.

Though I can totally understand someone who would have liked to continue the type of relationship they had with Tali in the first game without her developing a hero crush on Shepard, "Chuckle"

P.S. Addai update the bloody Arrangment please! OR...or...Orlais will take Loghain from Elissa!

Yeah, Liara annoyed me in ME1 but I came to like her in LotSB.

Tali's romance is quite sweet - I don't have a problem with it or her (actually, the problem I have with her in ME1 is that her dialogue tree is so big). I preferred Jack, however - at least her armour isn't physical.

As for Garrus, I was very happy to get him as a romance, even though he spends most of his time doing callibrations. *facepalm*

The only character I didn't romance is...well, no priiiiiizes for guessing.

For me it's precisely the contrary. It's precisely because the Geth are evolving and possibly fragmentating, in ways that we can't really predict (and neither can Legion who still does not fully understand how this happened) that humanity needs an insurance. A weapon like David. I wouldn't base a foreign policy solely on the supposition taht the Geth are harmless.

Not yet, will do it after the Suicide Mission.

And yay Phaonica! <3

You know the saying: "When having a lion as a pet, keep your gun ready and loaded. "

The Geth is a tamed lion, one day it might just end up attacking you randomly and it pays to be prepared.

I really enjoyed the Suicide Mission. I have some of the soundtrack on my mp3 and it still gets my heart pounding. ME2 really did an outstanding job as a cinematic game.

Same. Esp Garrus' theme, the "Suicide Mission", and The Illusive Man theme.
