I've replayed the whole damned mission hundreds of times. It was THAT epic for me.

Garrus is badass (well more than usual) as the second team leader. The Suicide Mission is indeed very epic.

I always make Garrus team leader - he needs a chance to step out of Shepard's shadow for a while and show what he can do. Plus I like to keep Miranda in her place.

I make him team leader on the 1st mission, but not the 2nd. He's got to catch Shepard when she jumps!  Miranda sits on the sidelines for me, too.  I think I made Grunt the leader of the 2nd team.

I take it you mean Loghain, not Garrus.  lol

Thanks for playing.

This is a WIP, but a sweet sketch of Loghain and another fCousland lover.

You were right Costin, Lair of the Shadow Broker is awesome. Feels good to hug Liara, while having a smirk inside one's head for all the power that has been unlocked.

And AAWWWWWW Legion buying a video game for a fund raise for Eden Prime and not playing it? He's adorable!

Legion IS adorable! Now that's my kind of cute. Hence why when he died in my 1st run, I had to reload and Tali bought it. Sorry, cute purple chick.

Was messing around with a tablet PC today and did a small Loghain doodle... (I know it's not perfect. It was just a little stress relief, so I'm not looking for critique or anything, just thought I'd post since it's been a while.)

Posted Image

I'm still working on that other drawing, that I posted part of the sketch of earlier, but it's been put on the backburner for the next week or two because otherwise I'll never get all my finals projects/papers done. I also have two other Loghain doodles besides that one that I haven't had time to finish (one sexy, one adorable/silly). If anybody ever wants to see them, you might have to remind me...

(And so you know, it really did take me a half hour to stop being distracted and post this, so I swear I'm not just trying to one-up the other drawing or anything like that!)

You do know everyone can survive that mission right?

Though I admit, it feels good to have some people die there ( as I did on my female Vanguard Shepard )...so now I am conflicted.

Do I stick with my cannon who had everyone survive? Or do I continue leveling up my sentinel and kill Miranda, Jacob, Grunt, Jack and Thane...bleh.

All ten of my Shepards had everyone survive. So long as you do your upgrades and pick an appropriate specialist for each role you're home dry.

And Costin - no reason not to take both into the final game, is there? After all, I'm taking ten (I am a little OCD, mind you...)

Nice Loghain arts. Keep workin' on 'em!

What I am asking for however is which should I make my cannon, as in who I shall play first :P

If the developers forget that we could kill them makes no difference since they will be resurrected for their cameos in the next game anyway.<_<

You're more of a soldier than a sentinel. I'd say soldier.

Okay, I trust the judgment of my fellow Loghainites, so I come seeking advice and wisdom.

Should I try Mass Effect 2?

May seem like a silly question, but let me clarify -- I don't play games on the PC. Just not my thing. I solely play games on my PS3. That being said, I feel like jumping into Mass Effect 2... without ever having the chance of playing the original game... would be ridiculous and stupid. Particularly since I know it's a trilogy gaming arc and decisions from the first game will affect 2 and 3. For whatever bizarre reason, it was chosen to make Mass Effect 2 available on PS3... but not the first game (WHY???).

For that reason alone, I have avoided it. Well, and also because I'm not really that great at shooters (I can survive games like Bioshock and Fallout in order to experience the story, so if it's more like THAT kind of shooter and less like COD hamsters-on-crack shooters, I'd be okay). But I've seen soooo many people enjoy it and praising the DLC. The banter here. Plus, I read the Mass Effect 3 preview in the latest Game Informer (Don't know why I did this. Shouldn't have. Because now I have the sweet, sweet siren song of temptation ringing in my ears...). And after playing DAO and DA2, it's safe to say that Bioware is right up there with Bethesda for me when it comes to making immersive games that are like crack I cannot stop playing. So, I feel like I am really, really missing out on something epic... even if it means jumping in mid-series.

What's y'alls advice? Should I bite the bullet and give ME2 a rent and try it out? Or would not experiencing the first game just ruin everything and I should continue my obstinate avoidance of the series?

And here's a Loghain looking as reflective as me at the moment, to keep OT:

There is a way to import saves to the PS3 I think, but I do not know the details.

It will obviously not be the same if you didn't play the original. It has past NPCs show up, past events mentioned...etc. But I think it's worth the rent at least. It's a very fun and engaging game in and of itself and there are a lot of codex entries to keep you up to speed.

class can be changed, 'tis not about that  Both Shepards will make almost the exact same choices ( except Miranda and Thane not becoming loyal and taking Morinth over Samara on my sentinel ).

I don't know. Maybe the one who let everyone live to see if those 2 have cameos?

It's not about just 2, I want to kill Miranda, Thane, Grunt, Jacob, Kasumi and Jack. ( Not getting Miranda loyal = to siding with jack in the argument and then upgrading armor so Jack dies and then Miranda dies at the reaper )

I think the ones I mentioned are OK characters....but I would be happy in ME3 without them in my squad. ( and for the record I really like TIM, but Lawson can take a bullet to the head for all I care ).

Not Upgrading Ship armor I was meaning to say my bad there.

Jack is just really ****ed up....

P.S. you watched smudboy's analysis of ME2 plot? It's pretty good.

Ah she is but if you manage to get under her skin...well I found her (paragon) romance quite touching, to say the least.

DragonRacer - is there any way for you to play ME1? ME2 is an easier game to play but ME1's story has a lot more epic moments, IMHO. I wouldn't skip it.

Yea Jack is meh. I don't care much if she lives or dies.

So what are your plans for the Shadow Broker Costin? You know now I wish I had romanced Liara in ME1. Would help me keep her in check more. My canon Anton took the calculated risk of letting Liara in the Normandy (I bet she was at the very least tempted to dig out some secrets), but wanted to get close to her as much as possible. He even show some fake vulnerability because girls like that. I wish he could have initiated a romance right there and then.

I trust Liara for the short term against the Reapers. I am worried however that she will not be enthusiastic about human hegemony. I personally p[refer if the Shadow Broker remains somewhat neutral, to keep a certain balance (humanity already has Cerberus). But it should be with some human bias. Some secrets of the Alliance must not be revealed, and in case o war, the Shadow Broker can be used for disinformation. I want it to be a tool for human dominance. To create a false sense of balance while in reality, it's pro-status quo and pro-Humanity. I am not sure I trust Liara with that. That may have to be corrected in the future.

EDIT: and no I did not watch the analysis. Where can I find it?

If Liara cannot be trusted to be a good friend, cannot be manipulated for your own goals then there is only solution.

Termination, and replacing the Shadow Broker with TIM ( provided you don't have to kill him ) since I know TIM is clever enough to maintain the delicate balance needed.

The analysis is here on his channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/smudboy go to the very bottom of his videos.
