Not unless I either a) purchase it for a PC that may or may not even be capable of playing it (which I am not doing... gaming on the PC is NOT comfortable for me, period, so I don't do it) or purchase an XBox 360 (which I am also not going to do as there are already enough gaming systems in the house... and I'm not wasting money to buy an entire system JUST to try out a game).

Not sure why PS3 got shafted on this series (or why they wouldn't just make ME1 available for PS3... how hard can it be since they did it for ME2?), but it is what it is. *shrugs* That's why I asked for the advice... if it's worth it to come in mid-series or not.

TIM. Or Shepard, if he can end up becoming both the Shadow Broker and the head of Cerberus. It would be a good retirement plan. Retiring from fighting at least.

Though I admit, it feels good to have some people die there ( as I did on my female Vanguard Shepard )...so now I am conflicted.

Do I stick with my cannon who had everyone survive? Or do I continue leveling up my sentinel and kill Miranda, Jacob, Grunt, Jack and Thane...bleh.

I've read the guides, but Tali still dies.  It may be a bug- she survived the actual mission but in the final cinematic they showed her body.

I think what happened is, my Shepard did not have high enough Renegade to earn her loyalty in her confrontation with Legion.  The dangers of being a Renegon.

I liked Jack.  It was tough to have anyone but Mordin and Garrus on missions, but she and Legion got switched in occasionally.

I think it's worth it.  I liked ME1 as well, but don't think I could replay it.  Too clunky.  But both are fun games, and yes they are more like Fallout type shooters than CoD.  Fairly forgiving.  ME2 is still worth it even if you don't play the 1st game.

Well like I said, she's not loyal.  I don't know if Legion is- I think if you fail that Renegade option, neither are loyal.

Really, I don't care.  Tali is an acceptable loss to me and I'm not going to replay whole sections of the game to keep her alive.  We'll see how the Quarians take it in ME3.

Ah, that explains that, then. A shame -- I am sure they'd make extra money making it available... but then again, Microsoft is probably rich enough to own the world a few times over as it is.

And thanks, Addai! I will probably rent it next weekend, maybe, and try it out. If it's a Fallout-type shooter, I can handle that.

Bedding wenches is definitely one of the high points of The Witcher. The other is the dice minigame, which I found strangely mesmerizing. I think it was the jaunty music.

I think my favorite sex card from the Witcher was Abigail's. Naked chicks and chains squatting over a pile of skulls is the definition of shameless sex epic win.
