Well this is making me want to dump Kotor and go straight for the Witcher....
But naah, Bastila was literally the first video game romance I've ever played, and now I can remember why. Nostalgia
Mine was....Disciple.
Yeah I seriously played a FEMALE character in my first ever RPG ( well I had played Diablo 1 and 2 but they didn't have story choies so ).

I love it! It is shaping up very nicely. I'm so jealous.Bitenomnom wrote...
I had a little bit of time to work on that drawing I was doing...added in some of the details and such after redrawing his legs. Something still seems weird though...I think it has to do with the perspective. Also probably need to make his boots a tad bit larger.

snippity
I was creating Loghain tonight, too.
Loghain is being awkward!

Loghain beating up on a bandit

Loghain getting into the bath- sadly bleeped! I love that Kevin the Builder has a Disapprove sign over his head (because Loghain wouldn't pay for the town football match out of the royal treasury)- but he's looking straight at the good king's bum.

Bahaha. XD That's delightful.
I think I played the original Sims a little bit, some years ago, but never really got into it. Keep meaning to try it again, but, like I need more things to spend time on...

Might being the operative word here. I played Sims 1 for a LONG time, epic game and hell one of the very few computer games I could get my mother to play, but bleh every game after that has felt like fail.
Anyway off-topic, but am working on a brand new video ( and once it's done I think will install Origins and finally make my Loghain tribute ), check a sample here:

Finally, Chapter 9 of "The Hand We're Dealt" is up. Did not think I would have to keep mentally prying Anders out of my head, but I did it for long enough to go back and update Loghain dearest.
Just had to put him in tight clothes, didn't you?
Nice. Love the little exchange of "secret" gift-ordering and poor Varathorn in the middle. And Loghain loosening up a bit, despite his trousers.

There's been enough past talk of Loghain in tight, leather pants that It Had To Be Done.

Nothing wrong with Loghain in tight clothing. And wet Loghain is even better. Mmhmm.
Just a little note to you nice ladies on the western side of the Atlantic - I know Fereldan is not strictly England but seeing as the VAs are mostly British, we don't use "gotten" here at all. It's just "got".

Yeah me either. Sad. Witcher 2 comes out on May 17th (preorders get a preview on May 10th that's almost the whole game) so that will be my next preoccupation. It's gonna be a long haul to Nov. 11th and Skyrim.CalJones wrote...
LMAO Addai! Sims Medieval might be one to consider given that I don't think DA2 will keep busy for quite as long as I'd hoped (grumble).

When can I download The Witcher 2?
You will be able to predownload the game on May 10, 2011. You'll get almost the entire game and, on May 16 at 10:00 PM GMT, you will only need to download a tiny chunk of the installer and you're good to go. You can't possibly get your hands on The Witcher 2 faster anywhere else on the Internet.
Of course you'll be able to redownload the game as many times as you like, should the need arise.
On topic: I played a bit of Return to Ostagar with Loghain and Wynne. Best dialogue, much better than the stilted "humor" between Wynne and Alistair.

Seeing how upset Alistair was, and remained, was also quite heartbreaking.
The first explanation to why he deserted was from Flemeth, which was simply 'probably because he wanted power', which I believed.
Then I find out he passed the blame onto the Wardens.
Then Arl Eamon, which I had heard only good about and was crucial to helping agasint the Blight... was posioned by him.
Oh and also he's started up a civil war, in the middle of a damned Blight.
And sent assassians after me, as if the bounty hunters wern't enough.
And sold the innocent elves into slavery.
And his daughter is traitorous power-hungry ****.
Who, may I add, he had imprisioned and tried to kill, despite the fact she obviously loves him.
And by the Landsmeet it was obvious he was dangerously insane.
I didn't realise there was any other choice other than painting the floor with his entrails.

Yea, I tried it for the lolz, but it was so weird and bordering on disturbing that I found nothing luzlie about it. It was a wtf moment. And not the pleasant wtf kind of moment like Triss in Witcher.
But eh, after playing ME2 DLCs, those in Origins feel so inadequate that I don't wnat to try them again. The lack of effort is painful.

@yaw - there's a lot more to it than first impressions. It's worth digging deeper, if you care enough to do so. For instance, if you recruit Loghain you can find out through conversation (and a Loghain banter with Shale) that he never had any intention of killing Anora - he loves his daughter, even though she turned on him.
Eamon is also not the nice upstanding man you're lead to believe, but someone who has mistreated Alistair and used him to further his own aims.
Anora, meanwhile, is quite ruthless but she has been running the country while Cailan was galivanting about, pretending to be a hero. He is vain man and an adulterer who is also prepared to sell his own country down the river to make an alliance with Orlais. Fereldan is much better off without him.
The Origins story goes a lot deeper than one playthrough can do justice to.

Flemeth is a manipulator. A bit of skepticism is warranted.yaw wrote...

Though Duncan is a pretty good guy, the Wardens themselves are no shining knights. It's hard to see that when you play one and are obviously "the hero," but they have a very checkered past and by no means just distant past. Anyway, from Loghain's POV what he was doing was necessary for the good of the country. You can say that about pretty much all of his decisions, and from a certain POV he's right. You don't have to agree, but there is more to the story than black and white.

Also, it's not like he returned to Denerim from Ostagar and said "Right, I shall now start a demoralizing and resource-sapping civil war as part of my evil plot of evilness, mwahahahaha." Actually his intention was to unite the country in its time of crisis, and to do it as quickly as possible, choosing his daughter as the most capable (and reigning) Queen and himself as the best man for the job of reorganizing the available resources for defense against the Darkspawn and, yes, the Orlesians. The civil war happened because (a) the Banns didn't take kindly to being ordered about by a commoner as though he were their commanding officer, (
himself, but to say "he started a civil war" would be an error.

I was quite thrilled by the excuses of DA:O team in regards to their DLC reusing locations...especially since at the time we had Overlord, Zaeed and Kasumi out.
Then the ME team got the Lair of the Shadow Broker and Arrival out...that silenced anything the Dragon Age team had in excuses.
Permanently
It's pathetic really, Awakening should have come out after spending 1 more year in development and Dragon Age 2 should have taken at least 2 more years to make.
The Witcher 2 has spent at least 3 years in development dedicated for it alone ( though one can speculate they also worked in TW2 while making the enhanced edition ).
