Why? I always took Morrigan around with me. Rogue + destructo mage is a good basis for a high DPS party and no need for a healer.CalJones wrote...
Addai - yes, rogue. But it's early stages and he's just so slow. I miss all the nice moves rogues get in DA2. Also, being a rogue means I have to drag Wynne with me. Fail.
The finishing moves in Origins are what I missed in DA2. Fighting just felt more significant, like you were actually fighting. I couldn't stand the crack chipmunk DW rogue in 2.

Absolutely no worries on that score. lolSkadi_the_Evil_Elf wrote...
Sounds good to me, then. I was afraid of the plot forcing a Hawke that would actually have to give the appearance of giving a sh*t.

Nope, not with all those boneless women flopping around Kirkwall...

And for the first time, the chapter and its illustration are released simultaneously!
Again, the art is all by Bitenomnom. I think this is her best Loghain yet.

But my Lady Hawke cares about several things and people and DAII shows that on a level that I never got out of DAO. But hey, if DAII is likened to Leasure Suit Larry and if it supposedly requires not to give a damn about anything & be a playboy (Eh?) to enjoy the game, I have CLEARLY been playing it the wrong way over the past 4 1/2 months. Silly me indeed.
Anyway, I actually came here to post non-DAII related on topic stuff, even if it is just a shameless plug.
Chapter 18 of The Edge Of The Grey Enigma can be read here: www.fanfiction.net/s/6087280/18/The_Edge_Of_The_Grey_Enigma
Warning: SMUT and stuff.......
Carry on with....whatever it is that is cool about bashing DAII.

Anyway, good job, writers - keep up with the fanfics. We still need our Loggy love.

And...well he was just told to get rest since he is sick, and Rhia and him think it's a good idea to **** like rabbits all night?
Maybe it's just me, but in his position I would have told her to be quiet so I can sleep
But anyways, good job.

As for me, any affection I had for the game (which was mostly due to Varric and Fenris) has faded, for the sake of my interest in the franchise I prefer to forget the game ever existed, but hopefully we're all free to hold our own opinions and talk about them without rancor.
I do wish I can wipe it out from canon.
But frankly, my interest in the entire franchise is fading away gradually, so meh.

The only reason I still cling to the smallest glimmer of hope that there could be an good/somewhat enjoyable Dragon Age game is because Origins was rather amazing.
but meh. I'll replay Origins once again, perhaps draw a few fan-arts of the Warden and perhaps write some fic,
On Loghain however - finally going to do RTO with him in the party, something I haven't yet seen, it has been on my "to do"-list quite a long time, so I think I should finally do it.

Well, let's hope they bring it back in DA3. If they can combine the mechanics of 2 with the story and atmosphere of Origins, it'll be great (althoughl, sorry KoP, I don't think they'll managed the epic intrigues of Witcher 2, heh).
The writing (Esp. Act II and the companions) is what I prefer in DAII. What I want back from Origins is polish, attention to detail, the origins, finishers......
And what I don't want from both games: Rushed last third of the game (Post Landsmeet DAO is a mess and DAII's pro mage Act II finale....)
I want little of TW2 in the DA franchise. Except the lush level design and should Bioware go for a political plot again, some hints should be taken.
But Bioware would get flac for "stealing" then, I guess, so no matter what they do, it'll be a rocky path.

I am not sure logic is the right word my dear
@ Cal
Yea I am not expecting the same type of writing as TW2. Act 2 in DA2 was adequate (if taken in isolation), and if they are inspired by that while putting it in a better structured plot, more options, more development (Petrice was not developped well for instance) and more common sense, I'd be fine with it. I wouldn't appreciate it as much as TW2 and I doubt it's going to make me interested in DA as much as TW universe, but it would be decent at least and wouldn't ****** me off. A badly written political plot like in DA2 pisses me off.

If a choice can't be too significant, what a game can do is *show* us consequences and not just tell them. For instance, in TW2, helping or turning on Iorveth results in either a massive feast in the city, or a pogrom. It doesn't change the main narrative that much, or provide a completely different perspective. But it's consequences being shown and recognized beyond a few lines of dialogue different or other superficialities (like cameos).

Thank you! It's the first time I've done a real piece in such a fashion (shading was done in pencil, color was added digitally and in a pretty simple fashion), and it turned out to be quite fun.Addai67 wrote...

Oh yes I would, if my health is required to save millions of lives and when I am told that I need rest to make sure of that.
Unless....well *many* criteria would need to be met for someone to make me act against my better judgement

I personally want emphasis on consequences of choices. Before TW2, I had thought that such a thing was a dream in RPGs, but TW2 shook me up and showed me that it can be done.

Agreed on that point. Showing is far better than telling, and it's nice to see the in game consequences and actions. IN DAO, you had this on occasion.
