The storyline seemed nice enough when I read it - nothing very special, works better for me probably in that form as I have zero interest in playing with Hawke ever again - a bit more family-dynamic which may or may not affect certain points in the main game (mostly, because you get an extra discussion and get to know a bit more about the family. so maybe you could actually care a bit about them)
As far as I can tell (waiting for some-one to write me some codices still or up them to the wiki) the DLC storyline opens up a few questions and points about the lore for speculation but doesn't really answer much, there still might be some borked timeline-issues etc. Again, as far as I can tell, its better than DA2, but that doesn't really require much. The lore-implications alone are not enough of a reason for me to actually go and buy it.

Still waiting to read the full story. Certainly won't get it regardless of how good it is.

^ I haven't played but I got the storyline spoiled - judging from impressions of some people I actually trust on these forums the combat was vastly improved, mainly due to far better encounter-design.

Yes, same here. Naturally, I read the spoilers, and this is why I ask. From everything I've read thus far, it seems people really like it, especially the story/plot dymnamics of it. The additions to lore certainly have my attention., and bring up new questions as well.
@Addai: Thanks for the input. I wasn't exactly expecting it to salavge DA2 for those who hated it, but it does seem to be an improvement over the main campaign, and it seems even many people who were disappointed with DA2 were at least more positive towards Legacy.
@KoP: Yeah, I'm thinking LOTSB as well here. I hope it's not a trend they are going to follow. I am hoping Bioware has seen its mistakes and is reversing the direction they took with DA2.

It's better than Trolls and Hairstyles. (Mea culpa CDPR!)
You're missing out on a truly great DLC. I would have liked your opinion on it, but not YT or biased spoilers can replace a first hand experience.

:P:P I am kidding, btw, so no need to flay me alive because I took a dig at TW2.

They were for free
I do not see the point of buying it. If I do, I am only going to play it once, if I even manage to want to load my save. But great that you enjoyed it

Since I miss Arcturus and it's been a while I posted a Loghain, here
Awwww. Is this a father-in-law/son-in-law bonding moment?

Probably all the hero-worship got in the way.KnightofPhoenix wrote...
I don't think Arcturus really grasped the fact that Loghain was his father-in-law at the time.

@ Skadi,
Good that you reminded me! I have so many books to read and am too busy to do so sadly
But I'll try to read Dune soon. My brother invaded my PC anyhow, so I can't play.

I didn't intend to bother you, so it's good to know I didn't unintentionally do so!KnightofPhoenix wrote...
I don't know why "hero worship" as a word bothers me lol. It's not really hero worship. Rather respect and appreciation, I'd think.

And steal it back and give him your old one! Little brothers always get the stuff we're done using. That's why God made them, so we wouldn't feel bad about throwing stuff away.

He is playing TW2. It would be a crime for me not to let him play it in its full glory. Plus...I am a generous fellow what can I do?
You're just training him for his role in your world domination schemes. You don't fool us. We know what you're up to. You are using TW2 as a video training program. Nothing more.
@Addai: Don't know about the story yet because I havent played it, but the gist of it is looking good. definitely better than in the rest I've seen about DA2. Didn't know Gaider had another book in the works, let alone release. But I imagine I'll pass on that.
