Awww, I'm not going anywhere! Already into the game to the point I meet Gamlen, just trying to get the basics. One thing I can say for certain now, the intro and beginning so far have failed to grab me in the same way Origins did. I can see now why people were disappointed. I mean, my first run through with the human noble Origin, I actually got a bit teary eyed when Ma and Pa Cousland chose to stay behind and buy me time, and Duncan basically blackmailed Bryce into allowing him to drag Siona, my rogue, away. The Origin was brief, yet by the time Duncan was dragging her off to Kirkwall, I had already gotten attached to the Couslands, because the |origin really allowed the character to get to know their family. Elanor Cousland was an awesomely written mom, despite knowing her for merely the time the HN origin played out. Not only that, but she can kick ass as well. Leandra is just dead weight running behind you, ****ing at you on occasion. So far, I have not been able to establish any sort of relationship to parents and siblings, and have been doing nothing but fighting darkspawn (my freaking Wardens didn't get this much action until the final battle of denerim). Yeah, I can see why wave combat annoys people. But so far, yeah, nothing that's worthy of tearing me away from the origins forums completely.
The positives so far: greatly improved templar and heavy armor models. 100% improvement, as far as I'm concerned. Also, yeah, the combat is definitely more fluid, the character animations, while a bit OTT, are definitely a vast improvement from origins often cumbersome talent executions. Flemeth's entrance was pretty interesting (yeah, I'm pretty sure now that Flemmeth is, at least in part, draconic. And so is Morrigan, I suspect, though less so than Flemmeth. It would certainly explain those strange, eirrily beutiful yellow/golden eyes both mother and daughter share). And the new and improved Flemmeth is a f*cking MILF if I ever saw one. Yeah, I can see why alot of Morrimancers have suddenly become intrigued by a possible "The Graduate" scenario with their "mother-in-law". DA2 Flemmeth is definitely sportin' a smokin hawt bod for a broad whose possibly millenia old.
