Which reminds me. Who do you people think does Loghain's hair? You think he does it himself? Or has some help?

I'm starting to think that Loghain is Ferelden's version of Chuck Norris. He tells his hair to braid itself, and it does.

lmao
Behind Loghain's braids, there are no ears, but two night elf divisions Posted Image

You know whose awesome? Loghain? I mean, he's manly enough to be able to braid his hair and not look girly. Not many men can pull that off:P

I like to picture him tying those braids himself. 'Sensible Creatures' has a few awesome scenes that involve those braids. Posted Image

I'm thinking bad things, so you'd better go ahead and link me the story to prove me wrong:P

Besides, the pyre option forces you to acknowledge that he deserves such treatment simply for having royal blood.

Does it, really? As if people who don't have noble blood don't automatically deserve a pyre, but nobles do? Eh, whatever. Honestly, no matter what the dialog actually says, I'll choose what I have to to get the pyre.

Yeah. Believe me, if that line wasn't there or if it was worded differently, I'd always choose the pyre option. Royal blood or not, a dead person at least deserves for the corpse to be treated with some respect. But that line is so snobby that it really bothers me.

Sure, you can imagine you're saying something else but I still wish it was worded differently.

Hear, hear. Whatever I might think of Cailan, I would think less of myself if I chose the "leave him to the Darkspawn" or "throw him to the wolves" options. And yet so far my characters have all been commoners, and they would have given a pyre to anyone stuck up there. I resent the fact that I was forced to break character and infer that Cailan's merit of a pyre had to do with his rank or family name, not just because he was a person and I'm a decent person and it's the decent thing to do.

The braid scenes aren't as naughty as you're thinking, I'm sure. Posted Image

Does your internet history of Loghain fics that you've hidden from me not include Sensible Creatures? For shame.

This fic is long, but it's *way* worth it.

It's not that long, really. Only about 60K.

Edit: Of course, it does have a sequel that's currently half that.

I don't like to break character to harden Alistair, either, but I do it anyway (when appropriate to the playthrough). The dialog choices are unfortunate, but the results, I feel are worth breaking character for. Anytime you think to yourself, "My character wouldn't say any of these things..." you somewhat break character and pick something anyway... so in my view I've broken character for far less reasons. In my opinion, if the decent thing to do is to give him a pyre, regardless of the dialog choice that gets you there, then the decent thing to do is also to break character. Again, just my opinion.

Oh...hey. Apparently I missed something about Gaider confirming that Celene was plotting to take over Fereldan?

If so, then the taste of victory tastes bitter sweet. Sweet because I was right and bitter because Loghain is going to get assassinated in Orlais...

Cailan was going to marry her because he's even stupider than I thought possible...

Heh, it's true, it's definitely shorter than some fics. I rarely can stick with a fic that is that long or longer, especially if they are yet unfinished.

Ok, I quickly transcribed what DG said in that interview:

Question: Did Anora's infertility have anything to do with Cailan leaving her for the Empress of Orlais?
DG: Yes. They don't know for sure that she's infertile, but she wasn't having a child, and so Cailan was responding to advice that he was getting that was saying that maybe he had to marry someone because the Theirin bloodline wasn't exactly spreading out that much. He was the only son, or the only known son of Maric at the time, and Maric himself was the last of his line, so if Cailan didn't have a child, it opened up the possiblity of civil war in Ferelden once again.

No, he's not, because in my personalized version of the game he doesn't go to Orlais. Yay?

The better banner would be "KoP is always right".

The best banner would be: Loghain, Costin and Ayman are always right.

Oh and....time for Orlais to feel Dwarven steel at their throats!

Oh, crap, I didn't think about that. Posted Image

I had envisioned my character either retreiving Loghain from Orlais after dealing with the events in Awakening, or pretending that having him as an LI could open up the possiblity of preventing him from going to Orlais in the first place.

"Hi sir, I really admire you and--"
-Loghain punches Arcturus in the face-
"That's for suggesting my daughter go work at the Pearl."

As a side note, I imagine Arcturus as a fanboy wearing a "I <3 Loghain" t-shirt:P

My canon has him Arl of Amaranthine. What's the reason for getting rid of him? "Oh, he might meddle!" As Arl, it's kind of his job. Posted Image
