I agree on both points! But a Loghain Squee Thread, I fear, would keep us more occupied in trying to keep riff-raff out than actually being able to engage in proper squeeing. There are a few stalwarts among the community here, but are we enough to circle the wagons and stay on the defensive? (Then again, we seem to hold our own well enough when every other thread inevitably descends into Loghain love/hate debates... he does seem to be the Alpha and Omega here!  )

I don't mind the Fade. It's a big puzzle. I thought it was kind of neato. I even drew out a map for it the first time I played through so that I wouldn't miss anything. And I *love* the Deep Roads. Dark and creepy, and to me little else made the darkspawn threat seem as real. KalHirol is awesome, I take more screenshots there than anywhere else. My least favorite part of Origins is the Elven Ruins/Werewolf segment. That one is just kind of meh.

Edit: However, now that I'm thinking about it, the one part of the game that I *dread* when I get to it is the floor puzzle in the Gauntlet. I really need to just write down the solution instead of trying to figure it out anew every time.

Heh, I actually have a little notebook which is full of game puzzles from things I've played over the past year or two. Saves a lot of pain if I go back to something.



And haters be damned, there's enough other Loghain-centric threads for them to grump in.

I have NEVER actually done the floor puzzle at the Gauntlet. It's bad enough I actaully figure out the one to save Amalia in Honnleath.

Off the top of my head there's also CalJones and Phaonica. I really should stop as it's always the same argument with new people but, well, I can't help it. Some of the charges and arguments just strike me as too absurd to ignore.

I was gonna add Phaonica and Persephone. Maybe one day I can rise to the ranks of Supreme Defender of Loghain, but... alas, I weary of flame wars. Been engaged in so many in the past in other fandoms that I tend to just hang back and lob the occasional flaming arrow. Perhaps I can patrol the outer perimeter and strike down stragglers and scouts?

I'd say just put the squee threads in the Off Topic section, but it might just get moved back here, and it wouldn't have the same accessibility for new people to stumble upon it.

I fail as a fangirl. My boyfriend says he wasn't going to play the game anyway, so I just should tell him the story, since I spend so much time checking out these boards. Based on what I told him, I cannot convince him to spare Loghain. He say's he's *really* not going to play the game now if the antagonist fails that hard. I fail, fail, fail. Someone make me feel better, lol.
