There is one thing left in DA that I care about and that's Morrigan. I am waiting for them to ruin her so I can finally move on.

@KoP: Nooooo! Don't even hint that Morrigan can be ruined! We squeaked by with a gnat's wing in the comic! (the only good thing about Yavanna: Yavanna != Morrigan)

So Fereldan is going to face another succession problem anyway? Somehow I'm not surprised. Origins treated the Landsmeet as a short-term solution to what was going on at the time (Blight, civil war and all), not the be-all, end-all to Fereldan's problems.
Forgive me for saying so, but quickly slapping on one or two rulers who are, let's face it, a little under-qualified during normal circumstances (common-born, illegitimate and non-royal) and have fertility problems anyway (suspected barren and Grey Warden) is bound to cause some long-term problems.

Gaider confirmed neither Anora or Alistair, regardless of what you do, will have children.
Where? Why would he do such a vile thing?

She was never that amazing to begin with. *Hides from KOP's fury*
I care about Loghain way more than Morri (Who's a Viconia Lite to begin with) or ANY LI.

I could see Loghain wearing something similar. Shame that the Human Noble can't get an armor set like this, nor can he look like the Noble depicted.
I love the little blurb off to the side, but I think I love the Dwarf Noble one more. No, I know I love the Dwarf Noble one more.

Discuss.
You know who Loghain kinda reminds me of, in terms of mindset and actions? On some level anyway? Sophia Dryden.
Also discuss.
*waits with popcorn and bated breath*

Would it be conceivable that he would have been under subtle magical influence during Ostagar? Such as by a blood magic control?
In the Landsmeet there is an interesting shot from the ceiling when Loghain let go his ire against the nobles and call them cowards. An ominous black bird is perched on a beam straight ahead of Loghain's head and seems to look at the scene. The first time I played through DA:O, I thought : This is Flemeth shapeshifted into a bird, SHE controlled him from the very beginning without him noticing, that's how she knew what would happen to the wardens and how she arranged their fate to make them meet Morrigan. That's why she said about Loghain, with her sarcastic sense of humor and her way to blend truths with lies to make them become indistinct, that "the heart of men holds shadows darker than any tainted creature." : She was speaking of herself, waiting for her revenge against the world, hidden in the dark shadows of Loghain's heart!
And there is Loghain, somewhat confused, who says that Ostagar seems an eternity before, as if it was another life...
Any opinion?

I do think the bird you see in that scene is a nice bit of symbolism though.

All that being said, I struck down Loghain with my 'canon' character. I think sparing Loghain only really works if the player is playing anyone but a Cousland. If the player is a Cousland, the grudge against Loghain is not just political, it is personal. He had a hand in your parents being butchered and your noble family stripped of it's titles and fuedal holdings.
Had circumstances been different my Aedan Cousland may have been inclined to treat Loghain with chivalry, if for no other reason than his past service to Ferelden. But because he had been a player in the murder of Teryn Cousland and his Lady wife, honor demanded Loghain's head.

Maybe my Cousland doesn't give a damn about 'honor' and is rational enough to realize that his revenge is irrelevent compared to Ferelden's fate.
The nation gains absolutely nothing by you recruiting Loghain. Besides the fact that he had committed treason and regicide, he was also solely responsible for a civil war at a time when the nation could least afford it. Alistair also walks off if you recuit Loghain, so you don't even gain an extra Warden. That would be the only compelling argument for a Cousland recruiting him. Either way you go into the final battle with exactly three people who are capable of killing the archdemon.
With that in mind, sparing Loghain makes absolutely no sense as a Cousland. That is unless you are roleplaying a character that doesn't much care about the murder of his parents. But that seems a bit far-fetched to me, especially with how the Cousland family was portrayed as being fairly tight early in the game.
