Well, he notes that he was told by the Warden's allies -- greatly assumed to be the Disciples, with or without the Architect -- that the section should be mostly clear if not entirely.

That it wasn't, however, is interesting. It doesn't necessarily state that the Architect/Disciples lied. It's entirely possible the Darkspawn that attacked Nate had nothing to do with the Architect -- maybe he hadn't gotten to that area yet -- and were trying to keep the Wardens from reaching the Primeval Thaig because it's linked to their origins -- something I greatly believe to be the case.

The Primeval Thaigs themselves are places the Darkspawn intentionally do not go into.

To give this thread a bump and to be somewhat narcissistic I guess, on the previous page I mentioned the VG series I'm fleshing out and my hopes that I could create a character that strikes a chord in peoples' hearts like Loghain did.

Well... I think I'm off to a good start, as the character I'm creating channels aspects of Loghain and a bit of the Disney incarnation of Judge Claude Frollo. And a bit of Sephiran from Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn/Vayne Solidor from FFXII.

So ideally when he's completed he'd be a political mastermind, believing he's doing what's right, but does some questionable methods to accomplish his goal -- at the very least they're questionable.

It's worth mentioning that Victory at Ostagar will end next weekend-IMHO the best Loghain fanfiction story ever.Still, I wish Bronwyn hadn't turned into a Reaver(in the alternative ending).

My favourite fanfiction except that Loghain was made out to be a good guy in it. Loghain deserves everything he got. Yes he freed  Ferelden once but then almost got it destroyed. i'd rather be a punching bag for rich Orlesians than  a tainted ghoul trying to kill or taint everthing that's not tainted. So that's why i hate Loghain and killed him every time i played except for my achievement hunting play through. Plus he is so blinded by hate that he can't even overcome petty racism! i mean their are lots of nice Orlesians like Leliana, Evangeline and the Grey Wardens of Orlais from Dragon Age The Calling.
