Maric looks fine, actually - he looks similar enough to his sons to be their father, but also different. And kind of badass, actually.

I like your Maric... pretty much looks like how I pictured him, actually.

Falling to page 2. Here's Loghain and Maric in the Fade.
The two of them seemed awfully distant by the end of the Calling. Yet from how Loghain expresses his relationship with Maric in Origins, they still seemed to be close.
Maric!

LMAO! Ugly Shepard does not count, Giggles!
Or just laughing and saying my name?
Sometimes I think I chose a poor name, it leads to confusion.

Good! I actually did want him to look kind of badass.
I'm guessing that morph was a placeholder and not what they thought should actually go into the game. I imagine that it is, since the fade dream was taken out so early in production.Sarah1281 wrote...
It's far better than the toolset's version who is actually kind of ugly.

I know, right.
I based the morph more off Alistair, because Alistair is cuter than Cailan (imo). I thought he came out rather well, but its hard to see what you're doing after you're looking at it for too long.

I heart this bit: MARIC: I fanboy you so hard, there is nothing you cannot do! Here, have a pair of too tight leather trousers, for eh, plot purposes.
*Giggles* "For MARIC!" "By Maric and the Maker!" .... Explain's Loggy's battle cries, no?

I loved the jabs at Mary Sue Cousland and:
Orlesians: Still evil and bad in their own POV chapters.

This is IMO a very likely scenario if Loghain is kept alive and Anora married to a hardened Alistair. Dark/Evil Alistair is downright scary. But plausible.

Another reason why I'd never let him rule without either Princess Cous Cous or a very alive Warden to keep him in check.

I think with the right circumstances, he could. Boy's got a lot on his shoulders after all. A bastard child no one loved or even wanted, slept in the stables (I think), kicked out of the house, forced into the Chantry, the only way out is to join an order that kills you before you get a chance to get old, and a sister who hates him. Then pile on the death of the only man he's known as a father and a betrayal by the only other person he could trust, and you have the makings of someone who could potentially be very dark. At what point do you decide to just stop caring?Sarah1281 wrote...
I just can't see him cowing Anora, though.
I think it's a very interesting interpretation of what a hardened Alistair could become.

I can. Loghain being alive fuels his anger, obsession, revulsion....and who'll pay for it? His enemy's daughter.
