KoP will be a romance trap that will lead to a game over if pursued. Of course, I suspect many would do it regardless

So Morinth feeds you some BS line about how you have a strong enough will for her to NOT fry all your nerves in order to get you to sleep with her. What does KoP say if you bring up Morrigan and ask if she'll get pissed?

KoP, being the master of stealth and subltelty, will reassure you that she will not know unless he wants her to (which he secretly does).

I think the overwhelming awesomeness of that project might be beyond the scope of my abilities, however. I can barely get Loghain to cooperate, let alone you.

I think Simon T. made Loghain 10x more awsome then if he was voiced by anyone else.

I'd agree with that - Loghain wouldn't be as awesome as he is without that voice. Although it's odd to hear him use the exact same voice in ME2 (but then it's also quite odd hearing Morrigan and Avernus on that Quarian council as well).

First, I just want to say to all the stalwart Loghain defenders "Thank You" because I really don't take up his defense as I feel I should, given how I feel about him.

For me, he is definitely the character that has elicited the most conflicting emotions both in game and after reading the novels. Even my first warden, not knowing much about him, felt grudging respect for him even through her intense dislike for him and what she perceived his actions to be at Ostagar. No other character has confused, tortured and frustrated me as much as he has. Now, no matter my character, I make sure I can talk to him at Ostagar just so he references that in the convo with Eamon and at the Landsmeet. Insanity.

Anyway I digress. When I started reading the Stolen throne, I really disliked and distrusted Loghain and through the first half, I actually begain to REALLY dislike him. Then towards the end of the book, I knew I would never sacrifice him again. EVER. There began my ascent into Loghain love.

Both books actually turned a few of my feelings for characters on their heads, but I won't go into it here as this is about Loghain.

I'm not going to defend any of his actions of which some were horrible but I stand by him even with those decisions. I used to say that Loghain was not a great man but a man who did great things, but now I just think he is a great man who did some horrible things.

He is also the sole reason why I'm going to turn my Mac into a PC so I can get the Loghain mod. If there is a Loghain squee thread I would eagerly participate, much to my surprise

Now, I've had three glasses of wine at this point so please excuse my ramblings.

I find it to be a rollercoaster, that's for sure.

I was already completely biased towards liking him when I read the books. I haven't played the game again since reading them (yet) but I seriously doubt my ability as a player to let any of my characters execute him. I guess time will tell.

He did do some horrible things. I don't argue that, either. And he's kind of an @ss. But beneath all that, I do believe that he is a sincerely good man.

It's a romance mod. I think there's also tent time with him, too.

The one I posted a link to the video of is a work in progress, as far as I know. It's just smooching and sex - nothing more than that.

Phaonica's mod is a full character expansion which includes romance but has a lot more to it than the other one. Click her signature if you want to find out more.

What parts of the game does Companion Loghain get unique lines in? Ostagaar is the big one everyone recognizes, but what about, say, Warden's Keep, or Shale? Any lines in those quests? Or others in the game?

He gets a line at Warden's Keep - can't remember what it was though. He doesn't have anything to say during Shale's quests or Slim Coudry's quests (not even the one where you steal his crown. Which leads me to believe that he knows nothing about this crown at all, heh).

Yeah, he has one cutscene line at the end of Warden's Keep, mentioning something about it being a good, defensible position for the Grey Wardens and basically giving you a "good job!"

Might have been another one when you first speak with Avernus, but I can't remember. I just remember when Loghain suddenly popped in at the end with commentary, I was like, "Woah! You DO still remember how to speak!" lol
