I only know how to say my name in french, the alphabet, count all the way to 100, and ask where the bathroom is... oh, wait, I forgot that one already!

EDIT: The Redeemers sounds good to me.

Hmmm...does the fact that I find women speaking French to be...well incredibly sexy make me less of a Loghain fan?

No. "Je dois partir maintenant parce que ma grandmère est flambée."

All the French I know I learned from Eddie Izzard.

*gasp* Avec les accents en plus?
Je trouve remarquable que meme des phrases aussi banales peuvent etres si seduisantes!

And I am too lazy to put the "Accents".

No, really. All the French I know I learned from Eddie Izzard. "J'aime beaucoup le café, le café noir et très fort, très chaud. Avec une cuillère dedans."

And I cheat and copy/paste. ;)

Yea, it's not good.

French for Grey Warden is "Guardien de L'Ombre", which means shadow guardians. Yea...

And Morrigan is speaking like Marie Antionette. I mean I like how elegant and refined English Morrigan sounds like, but not like that!

Thank you! When I took french classes that was supposed to be one of the things I'd never forget. Alas, I forgot!

Ahem, back to the Loghain supporters name discussion.

Right.
Problem with Redeemers is. Well I didn't make that choice. That obviously won't do :P

"Wolves of the River Dane"?

It dosent have to mean letting Loghain take the US though.
When recruited he does change, and in his awakening cameo he does change a good deal it seems.

So it can also mean redeeming his life and helping him.

Gotta be honest, "The Redeemers" sounds like a band. And it seems that since KoP is the defacto head of this little group and he will brook no opposition (heh) then I guess we should go with whatever he says. ;)

Loghain speaking French is so ironic it almost breaks the space-time continuum.

As for me, I can order coffee and swear. I'm better at German. I can swear in that, too.

I'm de-lurking briefly to throw out a few names. Don't laugh too hard... ;)

I was thinking it would be nice to have the name reflect Loghain's experiences, his father and his former comrades. I came up with the following words: knight, defender and added wolf and River Dane into the mix.

* Knight Wolves

* Knight Wolves of the River Dane / River Dane Knight Wolves

* River Dane Knight Defenders

Knight - a small tribute to Gareth who I absolutely loved in TST and a play on the word "night" for the Night Elves, and ties in quite nicely to KoP

Defender - that's all that Loghain wanted to do, was to defend his homeland...

Ok - back to ninja mode and to bed

Absolutely hated Loghain in my first DAO run through, then I read the books and I can totally see the wounded young man that he used to be shone through in his actions in DAO. He worked with the knowledge that was available to him and honestly truly believed the damn Orlesians were coming like he was effin' Paul Revere.

Quotes by a great, if not THE greatest general of all times that make me think of Loghain:

If you must break the law, do it to seize power: in all other cases observe it.

Julius Caesar

In war, events of importance are the result of trivial causes.

Julius Caesar

What we wish, we readily believe, and what we ourselves think, we imagine others think also.

SInce Loghain's Crest is a Dragon I figure that Drakes of Fereldan would work better.

Isn't it a wyvern? But wolves works - as I've said previously. mactire = gaelic for wolf.

While I like "The Redeemers", Monica has a good point. I instantly had The Temptations' songs running through my head when I read it. Posted Image

I'm good with anything involving knights and/or wolves as well. Like I've said before, I'm laid back.

And as far as I can tell, the symbol of Gwaren and on Loghain's shield is, indeed, a wyvern: a dragon with one one set of legs and a pair of wings, as opposed to four legs and a pair of wings (like the more traditional Western dragon).
