Help!  Leliania's body is invisible in my game!  She's just a floating head and sword!

Ok, in more detail, I just got a new PC, running Windows 7, and I can finally play this game.  I grabbed a couple of face morphs for Leliana and Morrigan, started a Dalish elven rogue, and got through to Lothering.  I enter the tavern, the scene starts, and a floating Leliana head with a floating sword behind it (sheathed position) comes in and tries to calm things down!

I've looked around, and no one else seems to have quite this problem.  I've changed her gear, including to custom items, and it's still all invisible (though her head drops a couple inches when I first change her equipment).  None of my other characters are having this problem, just Leliana.  Here's a picture:


Oh, and as a secondary issue, the Blood Dragon Armor and Shale DLCs always start out 'unauthorized', but I just have to go into Downloads and let it sit for a second or two to recognize them.  This started rather recently.  It's annoying, but that's all.  I've tried the various fixes for 'DLCs Unauthorized' on here, but none have changed anything.

Try to disable/uninstall any third-party mods you may have installed. Do not forget that mods not supplied as .dazip (ie mod which you copy/un-archive directly into Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\packages\\core\\override folder without using DAUpdater or any other mod manager) are not listed under Installed Content and need to be removed manually from the folder to be disabled.

That's the first thing I tried: removed the entire Override folder. Thiw was happening when the only mods in there were facial mods for Leliana and Morrigan (non .dazip mods), too. I meant to mention that earlier, sorry.

Do you have Leliana's Song installed? This looks a lot like the "Leliana is invisible in cutscenes" bug in that DLC, except the morph file allows her head to be visible. For curiosity's sake, can you remove the morph from the Override file and see if she's bald when she's in your party?  Not that there's a solution that I've seen for that bug...

I don't have Leliana's Song, it's not just in the cut scenes, and removing the entire Override folder only changed what head showed.

What the subfolders present at the first level of your Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\AddIns folder?

dao_prc_cp_2, dao_prc_promo_emb, dao_prc_promo_lks, dao_prc_promo_me, dao_prc_promo_war, DEMO, nvariety, and tal_storage_chest



Those last two weren't there when I first noticed the bug (when I first got to Leliana). I don't know about the others.

dao_prc_cp_2, dao_prc_promo_emb, dao_prc_promo_lks, dao_prc_promo_me, dao_prc_promo_war & DEMO are official DLCs/AddIns.
I don't think that tal_storage_chest can create this kind of issue (I have it installed on my computer and I never has such error with Leliana)
But, I'm less sure with nvariety. I think you should try to uninstall it using a utility like DAO-Modmanager (http://www.dragonage...file.php?id=277)

BTW, what graphic card are you using on your computer?

I've already tried uninstalling nvariety, and the bug appeared before I installed it (I actually tried it as a fix, hoping it'd replace whatever bugged body there was). That's what I meant when I said that it and tal_storage_chest weren't there when the I first found the bug: I hadn't installed them yet.



The graphics card is an ATI Radeon HD 5450.
