The controls menu keys screenshots to the print screen button, I have secondarily keyed to the L button. When I try to take a screenshot using either of the keyed buttons, none show in the folder. The screenshots taken by the game are there, but none I tried to take.
I haven't cared until I got the bright idea to upload shots of my use of mods to thank the creators, where I can.

Help please?
Thank you,
Agatana

Have you created a User folder in Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\Screenshots?

I didn't create it, but there is one. Should I create one, maybe that will make a difference?

Or, is the computer demon messing with me?

Thanks

No, if this folder is already there, this feature should work.

You may try to use an external screen grabber to solve this issue (like MWSnap)

Unless the option to take screenshots is toggled off. I did that initially after all the interruptions and camera clicking and whatnot got on my nerves on my first playthrough. I think the setting you need to check is "Take Achievement & Story Screenshots" under the "Online" tab of the Options menu. Apparently, turning that off turns off the ability to take your own personal screenshots as well.

That's not true. I turn off auto screen shots since they're as pointless as acheivements to me. I can still take screen shots just fine. What worked for me was to set the following line in DragonAge.ini

DisableAspectRatioCorrection=1

Activating this option (either in .ini or from Dragon Age Configure panel) can cause display issue if you are using Widescreen (16:9 or 16:10) aspect ratio.

As I am, so I won'tuse this. Have downloaded the MWSnap application, now I just need to learn to use it (my first try didn't work too well). Being almost totally self taught on computers it takes me awhile. But I ain't scared to try anything, so...
Now I've run across another problem, when I go to the character gen screen for humans I don't see any options there. No doll, no sliding bars in the creator options. The only thing that I can select is the voice menu. Any ideas?

Thanks everyone for your help,
Agatana

GeForce 6800 GTS? Are you sure? Is this not 6800 GS or 6800 GT instead?

Sorry, it's 8600 GTS
It's amazing how your mind sees what it wants to see. OS is actually XP Media Center & 2 gigs of RAM
. I'm running Windows 7 on my laptop.

Thanks, Agatana

I can't take screens as well.

I have the User folder for screens and tried changing the keymap to something else, but nothing works.

I have a Nvidia GeForce 8800gts 512mb card and use XP pro

From the video options try a lower or different screen resolution. I had the same problem and this was the solution for me.

I have had this problem for a while. However, by accident I discovered that if I go from the game to desktop. (win-button or tab) and then back to the game, I am suddenly able to take screen-shots. If it works for you as well, please let me know. I'm curious wether it's something freaky on my computer or a general work-around.

I'm running Vista, 1280 x 960 on a G-force GT220 with 1 gb, 3 gb ram.
