This is a a simple text document containing a categorized list of all prp_* models in the toolset's main models list.

social.bioware.com/project/3270/

Having trouble finding the exact prop you want for your level?

Prior to making this list, I had been using the wiki's model list (http://social.biowar....php/Model_list) and DATool by Adinos (http://social.bioware.com/project/41/) to preview models and search for particular props. I find both resources extremely useful, but as most model names are abbreviated or otherwise incomplete,it was difficult and time consuming to find particular models. It was extremely frustrating to know exactly what model I wanted but to have forgotten its filename in the toolset.

My solution was to go through each and every prop model listed under the toolset's prp folder and place its name and a short description of the prop in a text file. All props in the list were then categorized (altars, beds, chairs/benches, food/drink, etc). Obviously feel free to make any additions/changes you wish.

So if you want a chair, you can use your document viewer's Find function to quickly find any chair models,
or simply browse by category. You may want to use this list in tandem with the screenshots on the wiki model list and/or DATool to preview a prop's appearance.

Please note that I did not include the prp_ prefix with any of the model names.

I thought this might be helpful to other builders who were having the same troubles as me, so, enjoy and happy modding!

I'll probably make other lists with other models (namely placeables) if people think it might be helpful.

I will look at this when I get a chance; it's something I will most likely be using a lot while doing Secrets of the Tevinter Wardens.

A very helpful resource.

EDIT: I don't see the file? You may have to go into manage files and set it to be viewable by everyone.

Doh...right you are.

It should be up now! Sorry about that. Was in a rush to leave the house when I posted it up earlier.

Just DL'd. That's some good stuff there, this will definitely be invaluable to me during level building.

Thanks a lot for sharing this. I am going to start working at my story soon and one of my biggest concerns about level design was that it'd take me a long time to figure out how to find the right props for the right situation. This will help greatly with that.

I have an almost encyclopaedic knowledge of these after scrolling through most of the blasted things a while ago, but I've already found a few interesting props I had missed in here.

Downloaded this and checked it out. Its a good effort on your part and useful to modders.
However, I felt the usability could be improved.

I hope you don't mind but I have put the information into an excel file and organized them into worksheets based on the different categories. The Index page has hyperlinks to all the worksheets and each has an Index hyperlink back to the Index page. I couldn't upload the excel file to this site (doesn't allow it!) but I've uploaded it to mediafire if you want to take a look - http://www.mediafire...jm9bbp62bwj4nxt

Edit: Just want to clarify - you can add this to your project page if you so desire (once they allow excel access; changing extension didn't help!). I just wanted to edit it for my own purposes and thought it might be useful for others too.

Nope, I don't mind at all, I was actually thinking the other day that it would probably be easier to use if it were in excel form. Thanks for the extra step, I'll add a link to this in the project.

Update: I found a typo in a prop file name and fixed it. The latest document is up.

Thank you everyone for the feedback!

Cheers. I can see this being useful even though I'm starting to get a handle on a large portion of the props available.
