During Reaper IFF missin, someone points out how Reaper's interiors were made to serve their masters. On the other hand, when Shepard asks Sovereign who made it, Sovereign claims he has no creators.
Anyone think that whoever made Reapers might actually still be alive and the real threat to the galaxy?
Do you think there's going to be a plot twist in ME3?

I'm hoping for many twists, lots of mystery, emotion and at least 5 different endings. I'm not asking for a lot am I? I am?

The game tells us that reapers are hybrids. They are both organic and synthetic. They use the traits of other species and the best technology present to improve themselves. Therefor assuming that they were created is not very logical. It's more likely that they were once organics who used technology to enhance themselves. Sovereign/Nazara could also be speaking the truth when he said their species had no beginning and no end. It reminds me of the so called Omega Point theory (pioneer by Teilhard de Chardin and later expanded by John David Garcia, Frank J. Tipler, and Ray Kurzweil). It's a theme also explored in science fiction.
In short the idea is to become all knowing and immortal. Much like a god or God. To reach that state we could use technology. That state is the ultimate goal and is called the Omega Point. It is uncertain if we can reach it. So the literature is talking about "approaching" it instead. It's complicated stuff. Try the link above if you are interested.

The only person there who escaped was inside a sealed bunker. And if the the illusive man is right, they targed that colony because one of your former teamates is there. Rather suspicious that they were one of the few who weren't taken away.
The Collectors just have to implant some sort of controlling technology that's too sophisicated for Alliance to find, and then a bit of amenisa to the victom and bam... They've got a sleeper agent who has close ties to Shepard and he/she doesn't know they're a sleeper agent.

You know I find it hard to believe that the reapers built the citadel and the mass relays ( I suppose its possible, but I just don't buy it). What I see is that several billion years ago an advanced race became the first space faring race and they created the citadel and the mass relays. Some time after other advanced races came and started to interact, then something goes wrong and there is a war that lasts for several years and this race that created the citadel and mass relays realize that they are losing so they created the original reapers way back then not what we have now. These original reapers helped there creators in the war but something goes wrong and after the war these orginal reapers continue the war but against there creators and kills them all and the other races of that time period, and takes control of the citadel and the mass relays.
