Doesn't give them the right to attack human colonies though. That being said, I can imagine the batarians having a society that places great value on social standing (who you have above, and who you have below etc.), and the Hegemony being the Hegemony, they'd apply their morality to that of humanities.

EDIT: I honestly thought i'd beaten Rule 34 until I saw that picture.

I agree that it doesn't give them the right to attack human colonies. If they attack a colony, you can bet your ass I'm going to make them work for it.

There was definitely an option in Mass Effect 1 where a renegade Colonist could say shewas in space to take it to the pirates (aka - the Batarians who slaughtered her colony). Shepard has saved the citadel and taken down the Collectors. She deserves her revenge.

You...You have no idea the how bad stuff can get on the internet. I read this pokemon fanfic...I'll never look at Gardevoir the same again...

ULTIMATE PLOT TWIST: The Batarians follow the advice of the Leviathan of Dis, a survivor of one of the Reaper cullings many cycles ago. Bring Down the Sky was their Renegade way of making sure the Reapers don't have an easy time turning humanity into a Reaper. N7: Javelin Missiles Launches was pretty much the same. Mass Effect Galaxy... I'm sure there was an ulterior motive there as well.

The Word of course being what Dis told them, or at the very least how they interpreted it. Also, humanity was sort of cast off what with out Mass Relay being encased in ice and what not. Harbinger's comments also indicate the Krogan would be viable for Reaperfication were they not struck by the Genophage. Vorcha I dunno, but everyone sees them as filth.

Seriously, if a DLC or ME3 has a Batarian resistence trying to abolish slavery and such it would be a welcome opportunity to add some depth to the Batarians..... otherwise I'll just keep on killing any who get in my way.

Don't get me wrong. I don't have anything against the Batarians, and I don't mind expanding the roles or lore of any species.



But, sometimes, I wonder, can't we just have some bad guys anymore? First, everyone's favorite targets, the geth, are made all butterflies and rainbows (which was fine, Legion was awesome), leaving us with almost none left to shoot at. Wrex is already stealing all my Krogan targets. None of the Collectors seemed to survive. Now you guys are going to take my Batarians?



Fine, but give me another target that I can kill without entering into some big moral dilemma thing. Give me some straight bad guys, that I can just kill, dangit. Does everything have to be shades of grey? Can't I just say "Ooh, look, they're evil" and pull out my big guns?

Killing vorcha seems too easy.

And the Reapers are too scarce right now.  Besides, I can't carry enough thermal clips to clean out the Reapers, and my allies are too stingy to give me any.

I really wish we had more evil geth left.  They were perfect.
