I was wondering what NWN2 mods are consensously(sp) considered pretty good.

For reference I have the Gold Edition versions of the original campaign and MotB, both fully patched.

I strongly advise Trinity. And I think most that have played it would agree that it is excellent.

The only one I've tried is Dark Waters, which is decent.

Misery Stone and Last of the Danaan are also meant to be good.

You might want to consider adding SoZ to your game collection. You might expect newer mods to be using this as a resource.

Also if you have not already check out this thread for future events.

Forthcoming mods

It's for modders to plan release dates but its a good way to see whats coming if it gets of the ground.

Also you could get onto the vault and check out the top 15 mods. Its going to be a good indication of quality but it's then going to depend what type of mod you want; story, hack and slash etc.

Hope that helps,

PJ

The Maimed God's Saga was NEAT! Really great.

Sheep and Stone plus Trinity were good

I didn't finish Halls of Hamhock, but it was good.

I liked:

Misery Stone

Dark Waters

Pools of Radiance: Remastered

Legacy of White Plume Mountain (still in beta, soon to be released)

Good ones that come highly recommended:

Nighthowls in Nestlehaven

Fate of a City

Asylum: A Corpse

Asylum: A Bet

Subtlety of Thay

Red Hand of Doom

Last of the Danaan

Sheep and Stone

The Red Prison (I believe it is)

Too many rolling around in my head at the moment. Check out the Vault. Also, if you're able, you probably ought to give a few International Modules a shot. (I think you may need to have the particular language versions to do that, though.)

A Secret in Stone (currently being updated)

Traveler

Moonshadows Ch. 1 (unfortunately the only one he did, but still worth it)

Harp & Chrysanthemum

plus those listed above!

Heh, when I said "mods", I actually meant in general, not just modULES, but thanks for the suggestions regardless.  I'll have to look into them after I've finished the official modules (currently on MotB).

Universal Companions.  Don't leave home without it.

Also:

Companion Multiclass
Deadly SOZ Encounters (for SOZ, obviously)

Look for Kaedrin's class Pack on the vault and Tony K's AI.

Ah, the old mod vs mod thingy. We probably need some sort of sticky about this. ;-)

Those two NTB mentioned are highly acclaimed, as are Tome of Battle, Races of Faerun and a few others. Note that atm there are some compatability issues between certain mods, but this will only be most likely if you try and install two class packs or something.

There are also a bunch of minor things like better-looking UI, my very own XP Slider etc etc. Just look on the Vault for most things.

Fred's XP slider is NEAT!

Thanks (admittedly that could be considered a shameless advertising plug, though in truth I couldn't think of any other minor mods to use as examples off the top of my head). Personally I probably wouldn't use it myself, but I guess if you find a game too difficult or easy it's one way to make an adjustment. More power to the player, after all.

Escrimator's weapons are NEAT! The scimitars were an especially welcome relief considering the look of the stock scimitar.

I second Escrimator's weapons, I used his handaxes in my mod, and I would've used his scimitars and clubs too if it didn't make installation a bit more complicated. Adonnay's stuff is good too, especially since it gives the game a much more refined and realistic look, the original weapons are just too cartoonish for me.

In fact, I can't even play the OC without cheating and using the console and toolset to fashion my own custom armor and weapons, the OC items are just too garish and clunky.

That's true. Too bad he didn't provide an override version. I guess that's because he made many more models then there are default types. Still in my game I did replace the deafult scimmies with favourite 3 of his models. Awesome work!

The handaxes are nice too, especially some models. But for me they get less use and I didn't like all of them (whereas when I found/bought a handaxe, it would prove to be one of the models | like less).

Addonay's swords I like a bit less. A bit too thin for my taste.
