The vast majority of game buyers never visit these forums. They never need to know that they are even here. I have run this game on four entirely different systems with a half dozen different video cards. I've had some false starts from not understanding what is supposed to trigger this or that, but I've literally had just one CTD, no freezes, no BSODs, no "running" problems. I did have the same installation problem that Fallout 3 and Mass Effect 2 had, relating to something coded on the DVD that is incompatible with the firmware on my two Plextor DVD Burners.
That was it. I cannot afford the monthly increase from the lower-rated connection that is part of my cable company's family package of Cable TV, Internet, and landline telephone, so I don't buy digital copies of games, or DLCs.
I have long wished that the amateurs running this web site had used some foresight, and purchased commercially available software instead of creating this terrible web site. I would cover a lot things like the above in blogged articles, but the blogging screens here are basically useless; any time you have about a half page you have written, everything just disappears into nowhere.
So,there's nothing to be done about all the crashes?

Before you give up, try the following:I'm in the same boat as you guys. Last game i'll buy from BW is Me3 and thats that. Tried ABSOLUTELY every possible thing i read anywhere and contacted five times customer support and used like 50hours or more in internet to find answers. I really REALLY were looking forward to this game especially when they ¨lowered¨ their system requirements. Well this game just gave me PLENTY OF FRUSTRATION and cost me 60e but it isin't end of the world. End of the world is if DIABLO 3 HAS THIS KIND OF PROBLEMS!!!!
1. Install the latest Catalyst driver version (10.7)
2. in CCC, set Anti-aliasing and Anitropic Filtering to Application controlled. Set Catalyst AI to Standard and disable Adaptive Anti-aliasing.
3. if you want to enable VSync in-game and regain 5-15 fps, you can force Direct3D Triple Buffering using an external application like RadeonPro. Note that this application also allows you
to activate Anisotropic Filtering to enhance the aspect of textures as there is no in-game setting for it.
1&2 is done already. CCC settings is application controlled with me always and i have tried many different settings with it and none of them have made any difference. To 3 vsync isin't necessary with me coz i don't get too bad tearing with this game. Thanks for tips! i really appreciate for your help.

Went through the entire last fight in Denerim with one crash. I suppose setting PhysX to CPU improved it, though I may have just been lucky.

Yeah, I was just lucky, I guess. xD
Ah well, will try again if patch 1.5 ever arrives.

Try setting your cpu affinity to the last 2 cores only? Thats what fixed my crashes.
