Please don't take offense, but don't we have plenty of "what won't you like" threads?

In any case, Hawke is not as predefined as Shepard, and has up to five conversation choices, as well as the investigate option.

Hm, the one gnawing at me most would probably be . . .

That I will have a hard time connecting with the story and characters because the main character is being voiced this time around. I know I'm in the minority when I say that I preferred the player character silent, but this is the thing I worry about most frequently.

That, and that all my previous decisions will be totally ignored. But I know that fear is pretty irrational.

Funny, I actually found that the Mass Effect series had a lot of replay value. *shrug* Different strokes for different people.

My greatest fear is that the game might ship with the same amount of bugs as Awakenings did, though I certainly doubt that Bioware would be stupid enough to allow a non-expansion game ship in that state. Then again... Other than that however, I trust Bioware for most everything else.

Well, going into DA2, there are already three main options:

* no import

* import DA:O

* import DA:A

Within those three options, there are THESE:

No Qunari Romance. A buggy mess.

I couldn't care less if they turned it into Dragon Effect. But only if Meer voices Hawke. That or the guy who did Udina.

"Sir, Kirkwall is being attacked!"

Hawke: "This is an outrage!"

:D Maybe I shouldn't have said anything...

To be fair, Morrigan, Leliana, and Sten look nothing like their in-game counterparts. It'd feel weird to see a CG Alistair that looks nothing like him. If it did...:wub:

Doesn't need to be exact. Personally I thought the in game Morrigan was prettier than the high res one, because her face reminded me of a troll. Leli was gorgeous though.

I mean so long as Alistair and Zevran were good looking enough to make me wipe the saliva off my chin, I think I could be a pretty satisfied fangirl.

Oh and shirtless, pl0x.

There should be a club for that. Like they had in the NWN2 community. Yep.

keep the reciept, take it to the store you bought it from and exchange it for another copy.

say it was broken in the box when you found it. just make sure to do it within 24hours of the purchase because they are more likely to believe you if you come back the same day or the next day after you bought it.

-No true iso view: confirmed.

-Streamlined or simplified abilities, skills, and leveling ala ME2. I liked how it was done just fine in DA.

That would be it.

My greatest fear is that the pc version will suffer because of the limits of the consoles.

They said it wouldn't go out as far, IIRC, and it would be detached from the player character. Not that it wouldn't exist.

Greatest fear eh? Hmmm.

Would have to be that, instead of improving on existing game features they decided to dumb down and/or remove them.

Or, that the turn the game into an action Hack&Slash fest instead of an RPG.

Or the the game is short. (Less than 30 hours). Ideally I want a game longer than 60 hours. Between 80 and 100 would be perfect.

Somehow I can't help but think of the camera in Google Earth. Maybe it will be similar to that.

My biggest fear is that they try too hard to make DAII "mainstream" and make a bland game, like ME2. I only played through ME2 once because it just had no character. The shooting was just like any other game and the powers were kind of boring, but most of all the story and most of the characters were boring and insignificant.

My greatest fear is that it will feel like one giant sidequest and unrelated to the main story experience. Kinda like Ass Defect 2, I mean Mass Effect 2.

Also what's with these constant Pessimistic threads? Seriously , we beat ourselves down until the game comes out.

I'm dreading a dumbed down story, gender choice removed, a game so simple that a one pawed cat with one eye could complete it - like many games tend to feel like these days.

I dread a game so full of glitches and bugs that instead of fighting the Darkspawn you'll be fighting down anger at such a rushed game.

I dread that DA2 could end up being made to cater to the kind of gamers who can't press start on an RPG without whining that it's too complicated and too hard for them to understand if they don't get to go in and gun everything down within seconds.

I dread that the game might have a lot missing and you have to buy DLC in order to relaly get the full game, something EA tends to do a lot with their sports games.
