Try to do that as a male character. "I LOVE YOU I WANT TO FEEL YOUR SKIN ON MY SKIN."

Developers saying that Hawke can not have same sex relationships because he is to "manly" to be gay. I don't want another Shepard.

Well he's going to be a tough manly man like any succesful main character. I don't think society is ready to accept a hero that wears his boxer shorts backwards with an open fly.

I'm not joking.

*cough* No idea what he's talking about.

Oh well. The Tali fanboys are just are bad.

(I like her just fine, please don't come to my house and kill my children)

At least Alistair's actually appealing to people who don't care to sexualize him.  Let's not even talk about Tali.

I like Tali as my BFF. She seems to genuniely care about you, and you can treat her as your friend.

Yeah, that's because you don't have the option of "Hey let's have sex".  You see everything except that.

"Oh, i'm a soft, vulnerable girl and there is a questionable age gap between us.  By the way, i'm going to tell you I have a crush on you,  then i'm going to focus all of my efforts so that I don't die when we have sex."

It's everything a lonely man playing a video game could possibly want.

i don't think he wants him to act stereotypically ****gy... and i don't hink gays do that...

biggest fear is a disconnect between  the ferelden i've carved with my various wardens and the world hawke will be in...

i want my choices in DA:O to have mattered... i don't care if it's gonna be a series of questions in the game intro about (what race/gender/origin was the warden, did s/he fall for someone, did s/he let morrigan have a dragon baby?)

i think this is better than a canon world...

That they listen to the forumites instead of making the game they want to make (I guess you can throw in EA if you want. That is if your the type to pound your fists and feet on the ground when you dont get what you want).

Bottom line is I will let those that make the product make the product and THEN AFTER I have that product comment on said product.

For over a decade now Bioware hasput out games that were genuinely fun to play and great expericances that as a gamer I would not want to miss. Did it have x,y and z feature? Maybe, maybe not but that does not mean it was not a good gaming experiance.

Seems like too many get caught up in the minutaea and lose sight of if the game was entertaining or not. Games are ENTERTAINMENT. They are there to be enjoyed. Too many are obsessesed if they have x, y,z, feature or how they could of done it better (generally this means they did not like something and wanted it done the way they would want it done),

For those of you that are upset that BW is no longer D&Ds **** you need to just suck it up. For those of you that like to throw the Baldurs gates series out there remember Bioware did Shattered Steele and MDK2 first. They were no "RPG" games but were excellent in their own right.

So many like to lean on Biowares RPG experiance but thats it. BioWare was making excellent games before they ever even dreamed of getting the D&D licenses and as much as I loved BG 1,2, NWN it seems that they have been pigoen holed into having to make games like D&D (or D&D like games) by some. To that I say TS (Ts for those that dont know means t o u g h s h i t). You need to deal with it.

BioWare is a excellent deveolper. Sure maybe they make some decisions I do not agree with but I wait untill I have that product in hand and they have always provided. Sure maybe it does not have some feature I would like it to have but I can look past that little slight.

Those that think Bioware is supposed to be some sort of digital equilvilant to D&D pull your heads out or your arses. PnP (pen and paper for those that dont know) and video games are TOTALLY DIFFERENT MEDIUMS. You dont write books like you would movies. You dont make television shows like you would short stories. You dont make (rpg)(( I put rpg in quotes because it is a archaic term that should of been done away with a long time ago but that is another debate)) like you do a video game. There are different terms and limitations to each.

I am done. My rant is about half over but I am done.

Get a new line. I "click" on these threads because I like to see what others think (that would be the entire purpose of public forums) but when I come in and start reading threads as this is its nothing more then people trying to push their personal opinions of what a "rpg" is or should be and what should be included so it can still be called a "RPG"
You say fans (and I hate to pull this card) I have played Bioware games since Shattered Steele and MDK2. I know that BioWare does not need to be stiffled by what "forunites" think is a good game to MAKE A GOOD GAME. They were making great games before internet forums and before many others around here knew how to type on a asdf keyboard.
What I see now are a bunch of (comeafters) attempting to dictate what BW should be doing.
BioWare has proven to this point they can do whatever type of game and it will be a fun and enjoyable experiance.
At the end of the day I hope they do not listent to any fans (that includes me) because that means they are choosing a biased opinion over their own opinion and that IS ALWAYS WRONG>

First of all, if they didn't want our opinion, this forum wouldn't be here.

Second of all, if we all hate a game, and they go ahead and make it anyway, chances are the game will bomb. Too many bad games, and the company goes under. There is no harm in listening to us. If they all obeyed us blindly, they'd end up carrying the donkey.

BioWare has stated time and time again that they do not listen to complaining. Sadly, some people view criticism that lacks a certain amount of whine as "sucking up". It's ironic.

First off maybe it has something to do with how we percieve those words. I hear the wind. That does not mean I "listen" to the wind and gather advice on my professional life from it. Show me where it is stated that these forums are here for the developers to "listen" to us. They might "hear" us but that dos not mean these forums are here for them to take those comments to heart.
Secondly. Shattered Steele, MDK2, BG, BG2 and JE/KoToR (could be argued but I dont agree) were developed long before forums were needed *well they are not needed but so many think they are) and this was before the attraction of online forums.
Since it seemed to go over your head. I never said anything about the forums. I just said they should not listen to the so called fans that habitate this place no matter who they are or what they think of themselves. We all like to think that we are objectively critical minded people but that is rarely the case.

Worst Fears after DA1 was over, and going into DA2 is:

1. My Wardens story is over, with really no good conclusion, (think this has happened) just a couple lackluster DLC ( I mean at least give us DLC where we get finality, or get to interact with our party, and no finish to the romance options etc.

2. My Dog is gone in DLC

3. That my character in DA2 will be a guy, and I am very much a lady.

4. That the conversation options will be like Awakenings

5. That all my items and money will be gone

Im pretty sure this is all going to happen or already has.. :(

I duno, I was pretty much voting for a great DLC or DA2 to finish the Origins, & Awakening Story in the way Orgins was so great. Im all for a new DA2 only if I feel my Warden has had enough play and finished her story... Thats the main issue. Sorry- A late night, half sleeping rant.

Ugly unattractive armor and few armor choices like that of Dragon Age Origins.
Overly censored/cut out sex scenes such as those in mass effect 2.
