My greatest fear is dreaming about a tall, faceless, tree-like figure wearing a suit then waking up from the dream and seeing him or it at the foot of my bed.

EDIT: OH, for DA2.
Um...Its Downloadable Content being handled the same way as the DLCs for Mass Effect 2.
ie: Pay $5 for exclusive armor and a special sword. Oooh, how could I refuse? <_<

The slender man? He is truly the stuff of nightmares.

Haven't read it all. I was playing DA:O for my 35th run with it and when I hit those places I can't help but wonder how will it be in DA2?

Will we have stuff like the Elven Ritual? or the Arcane Warrior philactery quest? Or one of the best ever, the Summoning Science? (only wished we could actually read all those tomes... they seem amazing.. heh) Or any of the many similar moments we have in DA:O?

I mean, how can it be done when we have no dialogue lines to chose from and only 3 possible lines from some icon? Check all the possibilities we can do with a Jug or a Pool of Water or an Altar and please teach me, how is it possible to do it in DA2? Unless those awesome stuff are also cut off from the "sequel".

If this has been answered before, someone please say so.

uhhhmmm, i dont see your point. there are 6 free slots on the wheel, so riddles like that arent really much of a problem...

Looking at the Trailer it looks like my worse fear is already true; that of the hero being an uber fighter and mage in one IE a walking Armageddon bringer.

My worry is that the writing team will have created something awesome, but the gameplay will be so poor that its annoyances are all I can think about. I hate radial menus and really like top-down battle views. I am really worried that my dislikes will out-weigh my likes in DA2.

I had understood that we will have like 3 icons to choose. Not really a wheel like ME. Are you saying that we will have ME wheel? Well, that sucks anyway. Also, the scenes I mentioned are not only text. There are many dialogues in them and some will give us many different lines to choose from. DA2 will not do that will it?

---
Another fear I have is that we'll no longer be able to play tactics like this without the regular tactical camera that we have in Origins. They said we'll have something but "will likely not zoom out as far as in Origins"? Well, that sucks even more.

My biggest fear is that it will be too much like Mass Effect and not enough like Dragon Age Origins. Don't get me wrong, I loved Mass Effect 1 and 2 but they were different games. Dragon Age Origins was as close to a pure RPG as I have played in a very long time and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Oh and that it will be dumbed down on PC's to match consoles. Please don't punish me for my choice of platform :)

There will be a wheel similar to that in Mass Effect (I think, I haven't played Mass Effect) but with none of that paragon/renegade stuff and with icons that shows intent so you can see how your character will say it. And why would they not have dialogues? Or different lines? You seem to just be making stuff up. In fact, I've heard that sometimes instead of a sixth dialogue option you can go to another wheel with different options giving you 10 dialogue options fro the 6 like in Origins

* Extremely easy hack'n slashy gameplay which requires little or no tactical thinking so that 13 year old x-box and other ''casual'' (read: mentally handicapped) players can enjoy it to death.
* Shallow and predictable conversations
* Dialog wheel issues (I don't even know where to start * sigh* )
* Dull and boring landscapes like in the early screens
* Over the top superman style combat
* Super over-the-top weapons with WTF combat animations.
* Too easy
* Too short

In a nutshell: I am worried that DA2 will be just another flashy kiddie game. Image IPB

My greatest fear: an intolerably bad voice actor for LadyHawke (example: the woman who voiced Anora). I could deal with a crappy voice actor for maleHawke because I could just clench my teeth and manage one playthrough using him to romance the hot babe ™ they're bound to have as a female romanceable, but to have a bad LadyHawke voice actor would ruin the game for me. It would practically render the game unplayable. I can't think of anything worse than that.

How do you figure only 3? Both sides of the wheel would be available. At least six, maybe eight. And you don't have that many fewer characters available on the ME dialog interface than you do in DA's, so that shouldn't be an issue.

Aw wel, that's one less thing to fear then. If only we could have hotkeys to chose the dialogue option with the keyboard and not only with the mouse...

As for how I figured that out, the same way I think PC gamers will burst into Bioware HQ and take hostages until DA2 is made a PC version and not just a port from a lousy console game. That's what I've heard on the road, anyhow. Take it for what it is.

 Mine is that all the extra VO work will make the game significantly shorter than DAO.  I hope we get a solid 30 hours anyway a la ME.

Funny. For a 10 years period, I'd hope for at least 80-100 hours like DA:O.

At maximum, I can get, like, sixty hours out of that game. :blink: How do you get a hundred?

Yeah, 100 hours? I've hit 56-60 a couple of times doing absolutely everything in the game.
