My biggest fear is that Ponytail does not make it into the game.

The ponytail is a legend, he doesn't exist. Not anymore.

I killed him.

I hit 70 hours on my first playthrough, but I left it running a few times while i was off doing other things and I'm incredibly slow playing through an RPG for the first time anyway. I think even my first ME2 playthrough was 55 or something rediculous.

I guess my greatest fear is the same as Swilwind's above, that the voice actor won't be upto scratch. Other than that I can't really think of anything that I believe would realistically happen.

First, play it in Nightmare. It will go quite slower than easier difficulties simply because battles will take longer, you'll need more preparation, more crafting, more trading to afford better items for your companions.

My fastest Origins run with my original char recreated to be imported into Awakening took me "only" 58 hours. But that because I skipped most of the dialogues, read nothing while still doing everything and reaching level 25 at the end. And if you don't reach level 25 at the end with all 3 DLCs that adds to the main game, you haven't done it all. (And always with ZERO injury because dying really sux!)

A regular run for me takes at least 80 hours.

I don't have any fears about Dragon Age 2. The only Bioware game I didn't care for was Neverwinter Nights

I couldn't agree more. ME2 was a fantastic game but it wasn't even a 1/4 of the length of Origins for me. I am really disappointed in Bioware & EA for taking the mainstream please the consoles gamers route. I still have my hopes high but I am faily certain it will only be good & not great or legendary like Origins.

I agree though. A short singleplayer campaign would be terrible. I really hate this trend of games getting shorter and shorter as production costs increase. It has to stop.

I think a lot of us can agree that when Origins first came out it was a big hit and of course as people played through it a few times is when the critiques started but by far I think Origins was a big success. My fear with DA2 is that it will fall well short of what they accomplished in DAO.

I really cannot now go back to a game where the creatures, characters look like the old classic cartoon looking. Low graphic so to speak...If DA2 graphic's falls short of DAO, then I won't even probably continue playing the game.

Awakening was a very big disappointment to me, truly (said in Morrigan's voice) I always start awakening but never finish it because I lose interest really fast. I've only completed Awakening twice but yet I've played Origins at least 20 times.

I fear less customization (roleplaying) all around.

My gut tells me there will be less appearance options (so much for my black player character), less spells, less talents, less romance options ( and not that I like romancing the same-sex but I'm betting that is out now), less items to find, less dialogue options...

My second but equal fear is that the stuff my Warden did, and my Warden himself, will be nearly irrelevant.

My third fear is that we won't find out where Morrigan ends up.

My worst fear is that all of my fears are pretty legitimate. :(

Hmm I guess I have two fears:

1. I won't like either Male or Female Hawke's voice <-- Happened with Mass Effect. I can't play Male Shepard (believe me I have tried even for the Talimance) but Mark just doesn't have the voice range for a proper main character. He does wonders for NPC character's but if he's Shepard isn't sounding angry then he just sounds plain/dull in comparison.

2. Short Gameplay <-- With the short development time with this game I hope that side quest haven't been cut down to focus on finishing the game.

Raphael Sbarge voice acts everyone, don't worry Coyote. It's kind of like Being John Malkovich but in a dark and gritty fantasy scenerio!

I would say my biggest fear is that it the game ends on a sour/bittersweet note, with no possible chance for an even just moderately 'happy' ending, and that's about ti so far. That, and Wesley being voice acted by Raphael Sbarge.

- No true iso view: Confirmed.

- downgrade in visual appeal: Confirmed

- Streamlined or simplified abilities, skills, inventory, and leveling ala ME2. I liked how it was done just fine in DA.

- Less rather then more meaningful dialogs in DA2/game size (DA:O had 68,000 lines. ME1 and 2 had 20,000/25,000. I suspect DA2 will be more like ME1 and 2 and less like DA:O in this regard)

- That Bioware doesnt come clean about game before hand and builds up even more ill will by spin and playing coy (Gaiders statement of "wait and see" (rather then just coming out and answering) regarding nudity a prime example. If I go off his statement, I'm expecting a improvement over the Granny Panties or Fade to black scenes found in DA:O and ME2. Saying nothing at all would be more acceptable but that boat has sailed already)

Those my concerns.
2 have already been confirmed (which removed this from the must buy at full price list).
The other 3 coming true would pretty much be game breaker for me and put on the "do not buy shelf"
Now in the holding patern of "wait and see"

Wesley...the templar? I really doubt he's a romance interest. Otherwise, I don't care who he voices.

Hm, the one gnawing at me most would probably be . . .

That I will have a hard time connecting with the story and characters because the main character is being voiced this time around. I know I'm in the minority when I say that I preferred the player character silent, but this is the thing I worry about most frequently.

That, and that all my previous decisions will be totally ignored. But I know that fear is pretty irrational.

I don't think you are in the minority, if these forums are a fair sample population for the fanbase.
