Less choice for my character: Confirmed
Misleading Title (show be Dragon Age: Hawke, Champion of Kirkwall rathet then Dragon Age 2: Confirmed
Non-Continuation Game (this goes along with Misleading Title): Confirmed
I may borrow the game...just so I can make Hawke a complete douchebag and get some catharsis.

I also didn't want my character to be voiced, but as long as it's not Raphael Sbarge, Mark Meer, Jennifer Hale or such, I think I will be fine. I just hope the voice actors can pull off all the different kinds of responses and emotions without sounding emotionally unstable or like robots.
I'm afraid of how the dialogue and the whole personality thing will work, it's a brilliant idea and has a lot of potential. I trust the devs a lot though and I'm a little calmer now that mr. Gaider cleared some things out.
The framed narrative sounds super awesome too, and it certainly will be because of Varric. No matter how he is in-game I have a feeling I will like him eitherway.
And I can be sure that there will be Qunari, so I think I'm pretty content with what's going on for now.

This.
The game is being made for consoles. If any PC cannot handle that..
Not everyone has a console, though.
But true enough. Still, even though the devs have stated that they've tailored the console versions of DA2 to better fit console play (rather than porting it like DAO), I personally believe an RPG like Dragon Age is better enjoyed on a PC, if possible. Also, if I end up having to play the 360 version of DA2 this time around, I won't be able to see how my choices in DAO affected the world. I'd hate for all the hard work in those save files to go to waste. xD

Hm, Mr Gaider, (I hope you understand my english because I´m Swedish). Anyways, I´m deaf and had no problems to play through Origins plenty of times. These new changes with the dialogue wheel and the voiced lines/paraphrased lines and personality tones troubles me and my deaf/hard to hear friends. Are it more difficult for us to understand what happens/what are they saying? (personality tones seems to not have an impact, it only defines personality, right? If it is so then it´s not so important for us) but otherwise, what do you think? Are we getting troubles to hang on, to understand? Or are we going fine? Thanks for answer

Gameplay - i really enjoyed the "pause and play" type of thing in DAO. I like tactical games but from i've read DA2 will have more of a hack and slash. Will you still be able to assign actions to your character and to your squadmates?
RPG elements - I enjoyed opening up hidden chests or looting off a bosses body and gaining really valuable items. In ME1 it had that aspect, but in ME2 Bioware thought of removing it. I hope they don't do the same to DA2.

What I meant is that your PC should handle DA2 just fine. If by any chance it does not, get a new graphic card and more RAM. They are so cheap these days. (very good ones that are not top of line today but were a couple of years ago)

The attribute system will remain as it was in DA:O.
That, and the story doing something I won't like (pull a Chosen One, have the Chantry as the big bad or something).

Yes, you can pause and assign actions, just like in DAO. Once you "un-pause" the action will be faster and more immediate. At least, that was the way on the PC version at the Gamescom.
I don't know about loot.

I would say my biggest fear is that it the game ends on a sour/bittersweet note, with no possible chance for an even just moderately 'happy' ending, and that's about ti so far. That, and Wesley being voice acted by Raphael Sbarge.
Wesley...the templar? I really doubt he's a romance interest. Otherwise, I don't care who he voices.
He just strikes me immediately as someone who would be potentially voiced by Raphael Sbarge. Probably the only person who looks at Wesley and thinks 'Please don't be Raphael Sbarge' so yeah. Likely unfounded fear, but that's the only one that I really have. That and the aforementioned sour/bittsweet/no happy ending bit.

( Suggestions the game play is being dumbed down and biased towards console users are not exactly thrilling either )
That it will be a 'cinematic' experience. Rather than a rip roaring fully fledged RPG one. That the game is obviously borrowing from the Mass Effect series is worrying. ( loved Mass Effect but it was not an 'emotional' experience for me.) I am not emotionally attached to Shepard in the same way that I am my Warden.
And I suspect it will be much the same way with Hawke. Hawke effectively being the DA equivalent to Shephard is one step removed from being 'personal'. Having a voice actor play Hawke further removes the character from having a personal attachment to the player. It matters not what choices the dialogue wheel gives you, hearing some actors voice do your speaking effectively suggests to the player its not you. That instead the player is merely controlling the desinty of a character from afar as though a god, rather than actually being 'in character'.
The silent voice of the Warden gave rise to an inner voice that by default made the experience more personal.
This is why some players have become so emotionally attached to their Warden whilst not expressing any kind of emotional attachment to Shepard when playing both games. And given DA2 is obviously shifting towards Mass Effect in style, I suspect the same will be true for many players of this sequel, whilst they may find it enjoyable in other ways they just won't find it as emotionally engaging as Origins was for them, which will be a failure, given one of the strong selling points of Origins ( and mentioned in reviews ) was that it pushed the emotional envelope in gaming further than it had previously reached..

My fear is that people let their fears get the better of them and when DA3 and other DA games come out that they repeat the same thing over and over again.
Nerdrage is cyclical. This outcome is inevitable.

I'm actually playing on a laptop. From what I understand you can't swap graphic cards on those.

I only want the ability to jump so I can exploit terrain by climbing ontop of roofs and jumping from roof to roof or to jump off short cliffs (such as the Kokari Wilds cliffs that you had to spent 30 seconds to walk around)
