It will have replay value for me because I get to replay Hawke with 101 different names, Moe, Smellies, Sweaties, Meesings, and of course Mike.

On a serious note, we haven't even PLAYED IT YET! It's kind of like saying The Last Airbender will suck before it was released... But then again, it did suck. Hmmm.

But where M. Night Shyamalan is a hack who has only produced a few good movies, BioWare has consistently given us excellent games.

No, I think I get what you're saying.  As another example, the female mage gets an interesting plot point with Cullen that a male mage doesn't.

I didn't play female but most female origins tend to have the character try to be involved with somebody (or.. to actually be involved).

Human Noble - Darrian (males had that elf maid)
City Elf - (the entire plot involves this for both sides, though the female one's involvement is a lot better)
Dalish - Tamlen
Mage - Cullen / Jowan
Dwarf Commoner - Leske
Dwarf Noble - Gorim

The Human Noble, regardless of gender, gets the bed EITHER Dairren or Iona... But the flirting and all that is standard straight one of course (blushing Iona if ur male, flirty Dairren if ur female). As soon as you step into the library, you get to say "Hey, let's have SMEXYTIMES!" to either one... Ok maybe not exactly like that but I think u get my drift... Sadly, you (EDIT) CAN'T take both of them in the room :crying::crying::crying:

1)i know you guys don't like Mr. Card, but it's really not fair for you to generalize that all mormon are like him. when you say that, it makes you guilty of broad generalizations - something Mr. Card is also apparently guilty of

I take it you are not very familiar with how the Church of Latter Saints works? It's a lot like the Westboro Baptists Church only a little more streamlined and without the hate for armed services personnel. It really is a very monolithic group, hence why I think slim used 'collective' when describing her break from the church.

Of course, I can't speak for her.

I live in the South. The DEEP South. There's not a day that goes by without someone trying to save my immortal soul and convert me to some faith or another.

Yes, I am familiar with them, and like I said I know 1 or 2 casually, meaning more than just the random door knocker passing out flyers. And yeah, they are nice people. Yeah, there's a lot of negativity, as with any religion, but it's still not right to catagorize *everyone*, and I stand by that.

This brings me to my second greatest fear.

A scene where Varric asks me to shave his back hair.

Sorry for multiple posts in a row but I think many fear the "No Female PC Choice" because of Macho Macho Epic Beard Hawke being the face of DA2.

DAMN YOU MAINSTREAM ADVERTISING!!!

Bioware already has masses of female fans... Why are they so afraid to put a woman on the cover? A sexy one is perfectly fine too! (just not in porno armor, they will easily die in those)

Dungeon Siege had a female protoganist on its cover, so why can't DA do that too??

@Thief-of-Hearts.

I was raised Mormon and not of my own volition (had trouble voicing dissent at the age of two)

I make no apologies for voicing that dissent now, but it was off topic, my error. Mormons are swell. Really. Guess I feel somewhat entitled given my background.

And with all my perverted remarks on this forum, I would have thought everyone had me pegged for a man.

Ah no harm no foul, sir. Not trying to start a crusade or anything, just thought I would point out the obvious that fighting fire with fire isn't really the best of strategies sometimes. Image IPB

I don't condone homophobia, but labeling a group of people (so long as there is still a handful of people that don't fall into those bad stereotypes) isn't exactly cool either, in my book.

I also fear that they'll take a exceptionally fun magic system and make it more like Mass Effect where instead of  having  all those excellent spell trees to choose from and being able to choose Flame Blast, Flaming Weapons, Fire Ball and Inferno I would only get to choose  Fire Ball level 1, Fire Ball level 2 (with increased damage), Fire Ball level 3 (With increased knockback radius) and Fire Ball level 4 (Choose more damage or bigger knockdown Radius.

To move DA2 from it current system to the system you've outlined would require significant cuts, and frankly, I've got no time to cut spells or reduce devastation! Devastation will be unleashed!

Though as I noted to Game Informer, you will be able to upgrade your abilities, so hopefully the concern was about losing, say, flaming weapons, and not about making bigger fireballs.

Bigger fireballs are awesome.

I...have a feeling this is going to unleash something awful.

Maybe I should run and hide...

I'd like to improve fire swords and make it fire armor, making you running around on fire. It'll be a lot cooler than any bigger fireball.

My biggest fear is that Bioware fails to improve the loot system or completely gives up on it. I love loot, but Dragon Age's loot system had its fair share of problems. I think it's a huge portion of the game and gives the player a feeling of accomplishment, it would be disappointing if they didn't put the same effort into revamping the art/combat as they did the loot. It would be an even bigger disappointment if they follow the ME2 route and just give up on creating a fun loot/upgrade system and cut it altogether.

Every time I read this, I picture Sten locking a low-friction magazine of custom-tooled, lyrium-enhanced, explosive-tipped bolts into his four-foot long, belt-fed asssault cannon which he has dubbed "The Arishok." It has flames down the side.

If you don't mind, would you elaborate on what you mean by 'upgrade?' Will be like Runes in Origins where you attach an effect to a spell or will it be like a getting better through spell use (like cast it x number of times and familiarity will make it cost -x mana).

Suddenly Dragon Effect doesn't seem like a bad thing. (someone needs to draw this)

I keed, I keed.
