Does Bioware Even Care That DA Is So Screwed Up?

But just glancing through, I see that nobody from Bioware has posted in this forum in about three months. After fixing the PS3 firmware update problem (which I acknowledge wasn't their fault) they seem to have disappared.
Are they even still reading this forum? Do they even care that the game is still so broken? They keep releasing DLC at a pretty steady pace (which itself is buggy), but I'd rather have what I've already purchased working properly before I go buying anything new from them.
So Bioware, if you're out there, can you let us know if you still have people working to solve these problems? Or have you basically abandoned DA 1 to concentrate on DA 2?

In all frank speech, that is a shame indeed. Perhaps the PS3 will be eliminated from Dragon Age 2, just to prevent all of us from dragging them down. Sarcasm by the way, of course, because there is not a single person on these forums who is not a valuable asset to the community and growth of the Bioware system; except for complete and utter trolls.
I have been wondering for a while myself as to why PS3, and perhaps to a lesser extent Xbox 360, has been getting the shaft. Perhaps Bioware was truly focusing on appeasing their PC fans alone. Wasn't that the original intention anyway? Last I checked, nobody who played consoles really mattered anyway, especially with the mention of those playing the PC version able to mod their games to however the each saw to their dynamic fitting.
Perhaps when I get the chance, I will either play the PC version or, Maker help us, perhaps a redone, polished, new and improved version of the game on console? Any takers?

Only thing we can do is not purchase the DLC or DA2 and convine others to do the same. Only thing Bioware will notice is money it seems. I'd probably love DA2 but on principle I'm likely going to skip it. Fallout New Vegas will be awesome and Two Worlds 2(fingers crossed) could be a solid RPG as well.

I agree 100% with everything said above. I hadn't checked the forums for months cause Bioware had done nothing to acknowledge, let alone fix the bugs. I came back hoping to se some improvement- guess I'm an idiot. The only thing that's changed is there are 2 more DLC- freakin Great! I hear those are buggy too.

That's what I'm thinking too, unless there's some purposeful mea culpa from the company.

Whilst I have to agree that the overall support for the ps3 has been dissapointing, I see a glimmer of hope:
UPDATE: Copy-Protected Savefiles: http://social.biowar...8/index/4509542
The bugs are present in all platforms however it is quite apparent that Bioware is ready to invest more heavily in consoles, which should actually help them to polish the games better, as the studios would be less spread out. Support the patch copy protection petition!

If only a patch came out fixing everything on Awakening, I would definitely start playing it. Otherwise it would make an excellent birthday gift for someone who cares nothing about glitches, game-breakers, plagues of locusts, pestilence, and the blackening out of the sun.

I do not plan on purchasing DA:O 2 (or whatever it's called) largely due to what just might happen. I already have in queue the games: Assassin's Creed 2, Final Fantasy 13, Bayonetta, and coming sometime later, Batman Arkham City

The sheer amount of posts in this forum detailing bugs and glitches with DA show that there are still massive problems with the game -- games freezing, trophies not unlocking etc.

I don't know what you are all fussing about. I have had the game since it was released. I have all but the latest DLC content and I have had no major issue until Sony 3.3 update. With the latest patch the PS3 copy of DAO is running smoother and a lot of the issues I thought were bugs have been fixed.
As for a DAO being buggy; look back on any great RPG that was released on computer; most had their fair share of bugs. This game was originally designed for the PC and than ported over to the XBox and than ported to the PS3.
With the fact that most CRPG have bugs on the PC you would expect some bugs to be on the console; now you have to add to the fact that the game has been ported to XBox and than the PS3. So, both XBox and PS3 are going to be buggy because it was a PC game that was ported over and released on the same date as the PC. If Bioware would of held out and released the DAO in April or whenever on PS3 they would have lost my sale all together as I don't have a PC to play it and it would have upset me as a gamer to wait x amount of time for this game as I already have been waiting since 2005ish.
By the way they do care or we never would have received a patch that mixed many of the bugs.

Awakenings is patheticly bugged. Not just frame rate issues but inaccessable parts of the game. They created a set of armor that can't be completed. Doesn't that seem REALLY stupid? Or new equipment that looks like it's from DA:O(Warden Commander & Star Sword). Why spend the time to create something we can't see or even acquire? Personally I was locked out of upgrading the store(I know I completed neccessary quests). Its worth fussing about.
Stuff we also PAID to have.

@amd2112: I wrote quite a few polite and constructive posts about the copy protection problem, I posted in every update for Victor Watcher to see and I was ignored. I then sent pms to quite a few of Bio's team and again got nothing, except for Fernando who actually did respond. His response gives a glimmer of hope but I do understand how everyone feels ignored when real issues are left without comment but DLC releases get plenty of developer responses.
Right. If they would just communicate what's going on -- like, do a press release or even just a post on the forum here -- we wouldn't feel so ignored. Even if they didn't respond to that post, at least we'd have some info that they're trying to fix things. Because it stands we have no idea if they are or not.
