No it's not dead imo, they're just advancing and going in a different direction then Baldurs Gate, because thats what Game Companys do. I wouldn't want to play the same game that's exactly like Baldurs gate with a different name.

No but instead you want to play the same game that is exactly like Mass Effect with a different name?

I see someone missed his point entirely.

No, but last time I check Bioware's latest games have been very well received, and made a bunch of money. This is a business, and the number 1 goal is to always make a profit.

The definition of an RPG is a game, where you play a role.

Well...that's not exactly the definition of cRPG...the term "RPG" was borrowed from tabletop RPGs, and formatted similarly, which is why the term is used. It's a bit of a misnomer, though, because almost every game in existence would fit that criteria.

Do you know how Star Wars was ABLE to be made in the first place? Lucas practically invented film marketing. He sold comics, toys, books. So saying that finances did not matter to Star Wars is really, really factual incorrect.

No, the fact that it sold well and got great reviews tells me it was well received. Also is clearly in the running for game of the year thus far. If you hated it , fine you are entitled to your opinion. But you are clearly in the minority.

Comprehension would be a lot easier if your knowledge of the English language was slowly degenerating.

In a few days, all we'll get is grunts and angry faces.

That'll be entertaining. Random grunts, angry faces and links to Lord of the Rings and Dragon Ball Z.

I was mostly being a smart ass, but I completely understand. I've been playing D&D since I was a child (because I was raised into a family of NERDS) and when my father explained it to me the first time, that was how he said it.

The FIRST trailer comes out tommorow, wait until then.

I'm guessing you're one of the gamers who don't like the progression and change in the RPG genre.

I am all for improvement and improvement is a type of change, however the changes being made to the RPG genre in DA2 arent improvements and will actually make the game worse.

It would be like changing the wheel to have 4 sharp corners, sure they are changes but they arent changes that make the wheel better and if they dont make the wheel better then why implement the changes?

Changed motives money, no improvement.
Probably more praise receive, gaming media console centric, no pc gamer mentality.
