Hasn't your mother told you not to engage strange swamp folk, who happen to have incredible magical powers, in battle?

That fight turned out to be really easy for me. Since morrigan wanted to stay in camp, i decided to try leliana. The only leather i had happened to be the fire resistance stuff from drake scales. I put a bow on her and when the rest of my party died (pretty much instantly too<_>) she just kept on going and soloed flemeth with only a few health pots. (This was on hard difficulty setting)

Drake scale fire resistance? I gotta read that. That's what my Leliana is wearing as well.. I'm over 50% through the game and still, Flemeth is the hardest character I've beat yet (according to the load screen)

Flemeth is less than High Dragon is less than Archdemon.

My character got the last shots on both High Dragon and Archdemon (although I have to refight the last one, as I went to an earlier save to do sidequests), but Sten stole the glory with Flemeth.

Use ranged characters with Warmth salves. Their cheap. Spread your characters around so her fireballs only affect one at the time.

I was gonna make Leliana an archer until i figured out that you *never* find arrows, they are expensive as hell to buy and they disappear fast. broken imo

...They use normal arrows by default. The arrows you find simply make them better for their amount. They do NOT require any arrows to fire. So no, not broken.

I'm running tank, 2 hander, bow, and a healer and I am getting crushed. I haven't tried the fire resist stuff yet, but I do have some drakeskin.

She was kinda easy when i found out you can have your group drink pots on their own. And having my main as a spirit healer

Easiest way to kill the hard bosses (Flemeth, the dragon at Andraste's temple, the Archdemon) is to take all ranged and a tank. Warmth salves and heroic defense are useful. Stay out of range with your DPS and healer, and let Alistair/Shale/Loghain take the beatings. I would recommend keeping your healer as your "main" for the duration of the fight, so you can make sure your party is kept alive. Also, stock up on lyrium pots, you're gonna need em.

I found the slope up to the point she walks up to useful.

Myself (S/s Warrior), Alistair with Fortress running positioned one at 12 and one at 9 O'clock (Head Being 12)

Then Wynne on the slope (out of reach of flame breath)

Then Leliana with the bow found in the temple for andraste (might have been a random drop) (about 9.6 damage but with AIM on was hitting 30's then crits for more). Would be alot easier I believe if I had waited until Lel was lvl 14 and was using the bow from her side quest.

Took some time indeed (about 10 minutes) to chew down her health used about 10 Health potions and 3 Lyrium potions.

Me - LVL 14 in wardens armour, Alistair 13, Wynne 13, Leliana 13..

Flames didn't hurt too much but both myself and Alistair do ahve at least 10% basic magic resiste + extra Fire resist. (though I've now lost this by swapping to blood dragon armour.)

I have the perfect guide for beating Flemeth even on nightmare mode.

Have tank punch Flemeth (alternatively have tank poke Flemeth with pointy stick if not Shale).

Cast Force Field on tank.

Go make cup of tea while rest of party safely auto-attacks Flemeth to death.

????

PROFIT.

Huh? Flemeth is definitely more powerful than the High Dragon, if only because she actually has ranged attacks and doesn't have to waste time repositioning herself on the battlefield to get to my casters.

Erm, that doesn't work, unless your tank uses taunt before being force fielded, otherwise Flemeth will turn on the rest of the party very soon, apart from that detail, this tactic works on almost every single boss in the game.

Same here, beating the High Dragon to a pulp within slightly over a minute was actually my cue to finally retry Flemeth, who was still a harder enemy, but not hard enough.

I used Duncan's Beard on her, she basically gave up after that. Got to live it, Duncan's Beard.

Yeah, I got that one early on.  I took one look, laughed a little...then reloaded and decided I'd get back to it later.

I just defeated her last night, pretty interesting fight,n but after beating the high dragon most of my party had good fire resist. Alistair had the dragon killing 2-hander (I'm main tank, Alistair is melee DPS/off tank), and we took her down.

She did manage to drop Alistair though, but Wynne just rezzed him and that settled it.

Flemeth wasn't too hard for me on Normal, since I had two tanks. But Morrigan was my healer. So, it was time for poultice addiction.

Zevran got a wicked killing blow and lopped off her head.
